mara jade is like my favorite character. and i want to know which book or trilogy has the most of her. is it the thrawn trilogy or the hand of thrawn duology. i know about the cronology. i was just wondering which has more of her. and in the trilogy and duology which of the 5 books is she in any way. or should i go with the new jedi order. and just for your information i know alot of teh story even with out reading because i have connections so order of books doesnt really matter even though it might help.

I'd say her appearnce in each book for the two is about the same. However, if that is true, then you want TTT since you get one book more.

It's actually about the same comparitively speaking

And Zhan's Mara Jade was the only Mara Jade that never made me want to shoot the *****, so you're in for a much better character

She's a major character in all five books.

For a Mara fan, read the trilogy first. Hand of Thrawn has plenty of her in it, but her character is introduced and made important in the trilogy.

Most Zahn fanatics (myself included) will tell you that the trilogy is superior to the later duology. There's a few reasons for that, but the duo is still good.

You won't find much Mara worth reading in the NJO, she does stuff in Dark Tide and Balance Point, but that's about all that's notable. Try Mara Jade: By the Emperor's Hand for a good Mara solo story, as it's a Zahn/Stackpole collaboration. For added fun, try the short story hunt:

Sleight of Hand - Tales from Jabba's Palace
First Contact - Tales From the Empire
A Night On The Town - Star Wars Tales #1
Handoff - Star Wars Gamer #10

Good luck finding those last two, I haven't been able to.

Mara has about as much "screen time" in Rebirth as all of the other main characters.
