Saga Time and Space Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon Completed 21/4/2013

Hey thanks for the Pm. Warning! Don't play solitare when writing stories! I've learned that from personal experiance. Or Minesweeper. Freecell is your best bet if you are stuck while writing and want to take a break. Quandery has suffered so badly from Solitare and I might have to put it on pause. Ok, back to the amazing story at hand. I'm not sure what you're talking about with the whole this post might not be good thing. It was amazing and I mean that. Keep up the good work and I hope that we might see at least a frozen Obi in the next post.

Great story.

I certainly can`t wait for Obi-Wan to re-emerge.The reunion between Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon is going to be interesting, especially because Obi-Wan is going to be thrusted in an unfamiliar world and the changes won´t be easy to swallow.
He will be devasted that his visions have come true for the most part, besides the changes because of his disappearance.

Is Obi-Wan going to be on Tatooine? Or is he between that other junk near Yavin IV which Qui-Gon was interested in?

I am also interested in what Luke, Leia and Han will think. I mean the appearance of a Jedi Padawan frozen in Carbonite for over 30 years is not a normal occurrence.

Could you please send me a PM when you are going to update?

 

I love the little twists that change the how but keep the main parts of the story in tact.

I admire Leia's strength. It can't have been easy for her to be so defiant under Vader's grip.

And I hope both Han and Leia are able to be rescued...

I really loved these last three chapters, what an enjoyable ride!

I hope Obi is found and defrosted soon, but what a shock the poor guy is going to be in for.

I did hope to defrost Obi in this chapter, but I had more to say, so just hang in there I'm sure it will be very soon. I hope you all enjoy this chapter. Here it comes...

The Executor was an aptly named Imperial-class Star Destroyer, commissioned for Darth Vader?s personal use and was built for his special needs. Each day he would isolate himself in a specially designed chamber where he could remove his claustrophobic helmet to eat and drink. Although it wasn?t a pleasant way to do either function.

His food consisted of a pureed substance that he could draw into his stomach through a tube and liquid slid down his throat in a similar fashion. The burns he?d received on the slopes of Mustafar had put an end to a normal life. His breathing if you could call air being forced into his lungs by a permanent tube inserted down into his lungs was labored and noisy. He hated every minute that he lived this way. The suit was cumbersome but a necessary evil if he wanted to stay alive.

All his years of confinement in the black medically equipped suit was forgotten momentarily when he saw Qui-Gon Jinn. He couldn?t believe what his eyes saw through the mask. The rebels were on Bespin and they?d rescued the young ambassador from Alderaan, but his attention was drawn to the fact that Jinn was with them. He?d sensed a vague impression of Jinn through the Force, but he?d dismissed sensation believing that Jinn had died in the purge. The Jedi had to be in his nineties now.

A feeling of intense animosity filled him, seeing Jinn brought back to mind all his suffering at the Jedi?s hands. Jinn was the reason he was locked inside this black metal suit. He flung his gloved hand out sending a wave of Force lightning at him, but Jinn blocked it with his sabre and sent it flying into the pursuing clone soldiers. Glaring at his old master Vader recognized the look from his once master, it was one of pity.
How dare Jinn pity him, he was far superior in every way even in this abominable suit. He didn?t want pity from the Jedi, he wanted him dead and now that he knew Jinn was alive he would hu

Even though I don't post a lot, as I tend to be more of a "lurker", I am enjoying reading this story and look forward to each update. I usually wait till the end of a story to "de-lurk" so to speak.

so Obi-Wan was in that Star Freighter?
hopefully Obi is going to be defrosted next chapter. At least he will be aroud people he knows. It will make it somewhat easier for him.

Darth Vader and Palpatine know Qui-Gon is alive. That`s bad...
I think a possible meeting between Vader and Obi-Wan would be problematic, bad and dangerous for Obi-Wan. Vader was always in Obi`s shadow and Vader hates him for it. Obi-Wan does not know anything about Vader besides TPM or more like your AU of TPM. He wouldn`t know what to mak eout of this situation. That confrontation would not end well.

The pilots are force-sensitive?They could be trained? Cool.
Wait, if Qui and Yoda are too old to train them,does that mean Obi-Wan is going to do it,pehaps with Luke and perhaps even Leia??? Those two or three training the next generation of Jedi...that would be awesome! Obi-Wan with his knowledge of the old Order and Luke (and Leia) with their new ways.Quite an interesting combination, isn`t it?
Well, but only if at least Luke is going to be trained. No worries there...

Once again I have not time to read this but I'll comment when I do.

 

They found Obi-Wan!! It's a very good thing that bounty hunter never made it to Mustafar.

I wonder how bad poor Obi's hibernation sickness will be after 30 years? And when he sees how old Qui and Yoda are, and that just about everyone else he knew is long gone... I'm just glad Qui will be there to help him adjust.

And I can't wait to see what Luke, Han, and the others think about our favorite no-nonsense Jedi padawan.

Can't wait for more!

He will be around people he knew but they have changed. They are not like he remembers them.

There will be a meeting between the Jedi and Vader, and Palpy is still in the picture.
Obi-Wan might want to stay frozen when he sees the future.

Each step he took toward the open cargo bay door made Qui-Gon?s heart rate increase and entering the cargo hold of the star freighter he had to resist the urge to run on ahead. He couldn?t explain his enthusiasm, but he felt fluctuations in the Force and he brought his senses up to alert, he couldn?t sense any danger and the feeling was confusing.

The lights of the cargo bay came and highlighted the only load in the hold. The small Corellian Hawk, better known as a Moldy Crow, just fit inside the freighters hold. The battered ship looked like it had been through a meteor shower. There were dents and scratches all over it and the painted surfaces were flaking. The ramp was open and seemed to be inviting them to come aboard. There was an unnatural quietness inside the ship and Qui-Gon wondered what it was about this ship that was making his skin tingle in anticipation.

As they walked past the cockpit, Qui-Gon could see the probable fate of the pilot. There was a gaping hole above the pilot?s seat and he assumed that whatever caused that hole probably sucked the air and the pilot out to his death.

Further down the darkened corridor Dack lit a glow rod so they could see. Only the sound of Yoda?s cane hitting the floor broke the silence when they reached the open expanse of the ships cargo hold. The glow rod sent eerie shadows across the compartment and in the far corner was the block of carbonite that these two fellows insisted was a frozen person.

Dack glanced at Qui-Gon. ?Weird isn?t it, it?s the only thing in here besides that trunk. We opened it and it?s full of gold coins. It looks like a payment of some kind??

?Belong to a bounty hunter this ship did.? Yoda stated as they walked toward the block.

?Master Yoda I?ve never heard of anyone being frozen before and this ship has been derelict for thirty years, what reason would someone have to freeze a living person that long ago??

?Answer that I cannot, Qui-Gon.?

?See I told you that it was a human being, look!? Dack held up the glow rod. ?You can see his features as plain as day!?

The glow rod cast shadows over the figure, but Qui-Gon felt a gasp leave his throat when he peered at the frozen being. ?Oh my force!? Qui-Gon exclaimed. ?Master Yoda, do you see who I see??

Yoda, who was closer to the floor placed his hand on the block and ran his fingers over the facial features. ?See him I do, unexpected this is.?

?Do you know who that is?? Keyan said as Qui-Gon dropped to his knees to get a closer look.


Qui-Gon couldn?t answer him, this was a possibility that he?d never imagined and for a moment he wondered if his mind was playing tricks on him. He felt his whole body fill with an emotion he couldn?t describe and he brought his hand up to touch the face that he?d stored into his memory a long time ago, believing he would never see that beloved face again until he himself returned home to the Force.

His features were set in stone and to the naked eye he appeared to be sleeping peacefully. Unlike the pained expression that Han Solo had worn when they?d found his frozen form earlier.

?A hover sled we require, take him to the medics immediately we must.? Yoda said as he looked up.

?Ok I?ll be right back there?s one out side.? Dack said.

Luke, Leia and Lando were anxiously waiting for the medical team to complete their examination of the block of carbonite. They were certain that they could extract Han from his prison and with Lando?s knowledge of carbonite freezing it was a relatively easy process to release him. The buttons were pressed in sequence and from within the block a red glow lit up the room. The gases were dissipating and the carbonite chamber sent out a charge of electricity into Han?s body re-starting his heart and breathing.

Leia was the first one to go to Han?s side when they put him in a bed and wrapped heated blankets around him. He was shivering and he had a slight form of hibernatio
