JCC Today is... Squirrel Appreciation Day!

In honor of this illustrious occasion, hug a squirrel, or at least someone who loves them.

 

I gave a squirrel a hug, but it turned out to be a chipmunk. It laughed at me.

 

I just fed some squirrels. Success!

 

Squirrels? Well, we have no deal with them!

 

In my apartment, I'm facing a tree by the window. I finally saw a squirrel and waved at it, but it ran away.

 

Went across the street to the park with some peanuts. Got one to take one from my open hand, but no hugs.

 

Awwww too much cuteness.

 

I shoveled a dead squirrel off the driveway. It was so cute!

its a funny word tho. i cant pronounce it well. like "literally" and "horror".

 

No one appreciates squirrels more than my dog. He thinks about them every day and always gives them his full attention and focus, day in and day out.

 

I like the red ones (though I've never seen one - they aren't in my area of the UK). However they are endangered here thanks to the greys - greys carry squirrelpox which is fatal to the red ones. The greys have immunity to it. There's been a call for a cull of the greys, which were introduced from North America.

Yeah - they are called tree rats here in the UK as well.

 

I still love me some squirrels. Sad about the red ones in the UK as I think they're cuter then the greys.
