7/1/83

Today my daddy got mad because he lost his patients. I learnd something that sometimes when somebody get mad they take it out on someone else. I vacuemed three rooms.

7/2/83

I started off the day with a nice run down the old high way but booooom I fell down and hurt my knee and my tit and my arm. We walked home and my knee almost bled to my shoe. We got home and my daddy washed my knee off an put disinfectint on it and that stinged. We went can hunting but these guys came and we went to their place and lokked for gold. Than they went up high and looked for gold and we stayed down low and looked for cans.

 

Wow. More knee carnage!

 

25 years later i still have the scar from that fall.

4th of july

We started off a hike on a old dirt road but the road ended so we hade to go to the desert ground. It seemed like a year until we got to the mountain but we finally did and started up. It was a hard hike up hill but the rocks were like steps to us. We got to a nice rock to have some water. We finished our water and looked down at the view and that made us realy dizzy. We went higher almost to the top of the mountain and looked down and that made us even more dizzy. We hade to start down but it was hard and steep. We finaly got down and started home. We got home and hade water and root beer. That was cool and refreshing. We finished our dinner and went outside and let off fireworks. The rockets are neat they take off (thats the neat part) and than they explode. The jumping jacks are neat too they change different colors and jump around. The cascades change differant colors but they're bigger than the jumping jacks and they look realy neat.

7/5/83

We went to a lake called walker lake. We were going to go for a swim but we looked down at the water and it looked realy yuchy. We didn't play catch with our football either because we were having so much fun throwing rocks at cans in the water and skiping rocks. The mosquitos were realy bad an the heat was in the 90s plus it was realy hard getting down to the water because there were these steps and hills and on your way back to the car it seems like your going up a down escilator. We eat a lot of ice cream bars. Someday's we have two and someday's we have one.

 

i like better the days when you got two.

 

Neat description of the fireworks.

 

I loved those jumping jack fireworks as a kid. They became "illegal" in my state though so I have not seen any in a long time.

 

What do you mean they became "illegal"? I understand things becoming illegal, but "illegal"?

 

7/6/83

Today we played some catch we threw short passes and long passes. It seems like I caught about half and we missed about half. My daddy threw me some bombs but I missed them all. I hade a nice bath today. First came the hair that was fun than the second part was the body and than finally came the feet. Tonight we hade one of my favorite dinners. We hade macoroni and cheese and a hamburger.

 

I can totally accept 'hade', but 'favorite'?!

7/7/83

Today we went can hunting across the road. We went way down in back of the smoke shop and than crossed over to the river. there were these hills that we cralled on to get to the river. We hade fun going up and down the hills. We didn't find many good things we just found a hires root beer bottle and a mission pop bottle.

 

Do you or your dad still have any of the cans or bottles found?

 

i think my dad has a few, probably buried in storage somewhere.

 

i think i'm going to devote all of my time spent playing fallout 3 this evening to can-hunting.

 

7/8/83

Today we went to town. We hade a nice breakfast at Deni's. We finished our breakfast and went and did our Laundry. We left the laundry mat and went to the store and got some bread and coffee. We went to a little donut shop and got maple bars and my daddy also got coffee. We went back to the laundry mat and got got our Laundry and left. When we got back we played an exiting game of football. It goes something like this. He punts off the ball to me and than he either touches me down or I make a touchdown. If he touches me down I make it on the next one or the next one or even the next one. Than it's the other way around I punt it and he makes the touchdown but once he fumbled and that made the final a 72-72 tie.

 

One hell of a high scoring game! lol
