There isn't. It's crunch time for students everywhere. And teachers, too. Plus, I'd bet money that a good number of the GC is in one line or another.

Chapter VII: The Second Tablet.



Ben and his friends had been walking for hours, the tunnels seemed to go forever, tired Ben almost overlooked the Sith hieroglyphics on the wall, it was on a tablet like before.

I still search out for the Rrubiak Crys..., .... ancie.. ar..fact ha. the power to destroy ...... ...nets in the hands ........., unlike ... ...... ..... the Kaiburr ..... was made with ... power .. heal. I feel ......... that if I find it I ... make it ... of ... caves alive, otherwise. I am doomed, for a ..... greater then .. own .. looking for it ....
-....... ....

That was all Ben could make out in the ancient lichen covered rock, both Tracer and Rosa looked perplexed as well, the writers name was completely obliterated, could he be the ghost? And what was Rrubiak? Ben knew he had heard the word Kaiburr before though... it was a kind of crystal his father had found before, he had given it to an old lady though, he claimed it had the power to heal grievous injuries. Evidently Rosa was tired of thinking as she spoke.

"Guys, are you ready to go? There is an arrow on the tablets too, see?" emphasizing with a wave she motioned at a arrow pointing down a side tunnel, exasperated she starts walking down it herself followed quickly by Tracer and Ben.

"Rosa, you cannot just run off like that whenever you feel like it!" Tracer yells angrily running after her. Rolling his eyes Ben follows on preparing for another heated "discussion". The stress was eating away at them; all three of them snapped so easily now... he wanted home so badly

Meanwhile Mara kept running in the direction Ben's signature came from, soon she thought... soon.

And I remain ever curious. Yeah, I know I said I wouldn't be in here until Wed., but I got my paper done 15 minutes early and figured I deserved a reward.

Rosa sounds a lot like me. I rush off a lot at random... Jarus found that out at C3 In fact, the line Tracer used sounds very familiar...

I hope Mara finds them before the ghost does.

Chapter VIII: Another Has Fallen

Ben and his friends walked down another stark corridor like so many they had crossed through so far, Ben felt deep inside himself meditating, trying to reach out in the Force and touch the planet's life like he had done so many times before, he found it soothing, but all he could feel was despair, the walls reeked of it, Ben could not help but wonder if it was the Ghost's emotions he felt, he did not even know if it had emotions, or even if it was a ghost. But above all else what worried him was a pinprick of the strongest accumulation of Dark Side powers he had ever felt.

No, that was not right. It was not a pinprick, it was a super nova, and while definitely powerful and destructive, it was not necessarily the Dark Side. Ben wondered if this was the Rrubiak Crystal hinted at in the last tablet. Ben did not know. Suddenly he felt it, a strong oily feeling of anger and despair materializing in front of them, the Ghost was among them before they were even factually prepared.

"Ben!" Rosa yelled as the ghost sent tendrils of the Dark Side shooting towards her like a whip, Tracer used the Force to knock her over moments before it hit her causing the tendril to barely graze her back causing angry red gashes, Rosa's face was the picture of agony as she clenched hard enough in pain that Ben thought he heard teeth crack.

"Is it just me or is that thing stronger!?" Tracer shrieked barely dodging another launch of Dark Side tendrils, igniting his lightsaber he runs at the ghost swinging, the lightsaber merely passes through the ghosts wispy exterior, looking confused he quickly whirls around as he hears Rosa's scream, his face contorting in a silent scream he watches the ghost send tendrils at her, everything seemed to go in slow motion as the Dark Side powers hit her the mere force of the attack nearly knocking her across the room, the Force was going wild as Rosa's death washed across it accompanied by Tracer's grief and Ben's anger.

"Nooooo!" Ben yelled pointing his palm at the ghost as lightning arced out of his fingers, Ben fed his anger into the attack and the Force lightning increased in strength, burning with the brightness of a thousand suns the mighty attack grazes the ghost and hits the wall blowing a crater sized hole in it. The ghost shrieked in agony and dissipated. Ben collapsed looking at his burned palm just realizing what he had done, Tracer looks into the whole and sees another tablet, this one though, is perfectly preserved.

"Ben, you need to see this." Tracer says, and then he also collapses in exhaustion.

Mara felt the Force froth like an angry sea and almost passed out as Rosa's death, Ben's anger, and Tracer's grief washed over her, they came from a cave in the distance, using the Force she reaches it in mere minutes, she feels great evil coming from it, she hesitates for only a moment, and then she too, entered the darkness.

Looks good. I'm still hooked. I did notice one place in that post where you referred to Ben as a she ("Ben thought she heard teeth crack"). You may want to fix that.

 

the tablet is just the ghosts recipe for Rrubiak Crystal Nerf Sauce, thats what this is all about!

Whoa. I get the trick with the crystal's name, Rrubri1ak is Kaliburr spelled backwords. Clever. Oh, no! Another has fallen! And, I wonder what is so interseting. I hope the ghost is gone for all time!!!!

 

lets just say the ghosts real identity is spoken in the next tablet, and he is a pre existing EU character

I'd bet he's someone from KOTOR or KOTOR II.

Chapter IX: The Final Confrontation, Part I



Ben looks over at the crying form of Tracer disgusted, he could not believe that in this situation, where strength was needed, and Tracer was crying, did he not realize that if there were to survive they would have to be stronger? Ben had already made up his mind, he would kill the ghost, Tracer probably thought the ghost was dead, but Ben could still feel it, Ben thought back to the tablet Tracer had uncovered, it still made him shiver.

The door next to this tablet leads to the final chamber, the chamber containing the Rrubiak Crystal, the very same crystal employed by Sith lords millennia ago, though those golden years ended when the crystal absorbed too much power, now only those with incredibly high power can wield it, anyone else is possessed and turned into a shapeless puppet to patrol the temple protecting it from danger, that is the plight that befell the last Sith looking for it, I had to dispose of him myself.

I fear the same may happen to me though, but I must take the chance, it was hard enough to obtain a body after my untimely demise at the hands of Exar Kun, I shall obtain this power though, and with it I will be able to destroy suns as if there were mere bubbles, may the Force help the galaxy once I obtain it, I do not understand why I leave an account etches in stone, maybe it is to tell other people who venture after me about the crystal, to give myself immortality. I am glad I killed the ghostly protector early on though, for he would have grown more powerful the closer to the crystal I got. I now go to collect my prize, may the Force be with me, or I will be the next ghastly protector.

Shivering Ben realizes to even greater disgust that he himself as started crying, at least the tablet answered one question though, the ghastly protector probably was Freedon Nadd, one of the greatest Sith lords to walk any planet, it was an opponent Ben really wished he did not have to fight, but he did.

"Come on Tracer!" barked Ben standing up, "We have a ghost to kill." looking down at Tracer who was not moving Ben uses his anger to forcibly rip Tracer off the ground and literally drags him into the crystals chamber, on a pedestal of oily black marble the crystal lies radiating a seductive crimson red, and above it like something out of a nightmare is the ghost, igniting his lightsaber he notes with satisfaction that Tracer is not too far gone to do the same, they attack.

Mara can feel Ben now, she feels his anticipation, she also feels the oily presence of a third individual, then suddenly from down the passage she hears the snap-hiss of a lightsaber, breaking into a dead run she races to the sound, she hoped Ben knew she was coming

 

Freedon Nadd. I should have known. Why was I thinking Malak, Revan or Bane?!? I hope Ben kills him slowly. Or try a level 30 Holy Bolt. Sorry, bad Diablo II reference. It was there.
