Ohh amazon.com has a picture up of the cover "Tales from a Librarian". Its a real lovely shot of her sitting in chair with a nice pink top,skirt and hat on.

 

I finally got to see the cover shot today. I haven't been online in ages.

I'm okay, I think.

 

Did you think the shot was lovely?

I wish they would announce track listings.

 

It's a beautiful picture of her. I wonder what inspired the title of the album, though??

Well I think since its a collection of her songs..basically its like a library of her work. Thats just my take on it.

Ohhh little more info about the cd/dvd from The Dent.

The 2-disc release will contain a 20-track CD and a bonus DVD.

The new songs are Angels and Snow Cherries From France.

The b-sides Mary and Sweet Dreams have been completely re-recorded.

The other songs have been "reconditioned" and "revisited".

The bonus DVD includes songs recorded live during the sound check of the final show of Amos' summer 2003 North American tour. The songs are Pretty Good Year, Northern Lad, and Honey.

The DVD also has audio remixes of Putting The Damage On and Mr. Zebra in surround sound and that include images from Tori's career.

 

Upside Down was also re-recorded with the band, as she played it on this past tour

Yeah, I can't see "Way Down" being on there as well.

 

I think it's supposed to be Upside Down, not Way Down. At least I hope so!

Is anyone upset that their fave track isn't on there, or that this compilation is lacking?

 

I am cause I wanted to see Caught a Lite sneeze or In the springtime of his Voodoo on this.

and I'd gladly swapped Bliss for 1000 Oceans.

This is a little off, but with as huge of collection of B-sides she has, I'd like her just to but out a double cd or box set of B-sides only.

I know with this new cd she has the website, bit I'd shell out $10 for a EP release of her b-sides from "Scarlett's Walk".

 

I'd pay 15 dollars for such an Ep.

About the supossed tracklisting, while I'm sad that Caught a Lite Sneeze and Upside Down w/ the band ( ) isn't on it, I love the fact that Way Down is on it. That is one of my favorite songs... ever.

 

Caught A Lite Sneeze should be on there It's one of my favorites.

I'd also shell out money for Scarlet's walk B-Sides. I only have some of them in mp3 format. [The live version of Indian Summer, Mountain, TomBigBee, Seaside, and what else am I forgetting?]

 

Thats all the B-sides from Scarlet's Walk.

 

I could have sworn there was another. I bought that t-shirt on the first leg that listed all of the b-sides from SW. I'll have to look atit.

The setlistfrom Boston tonight was great--I thought she might play Angels or Snow Cherries.

 

The gray t-shirt w/ her hair on it that says "scarlet stories" on the front of it, when you look at the back it lists all the songs including the B-sides.

I think you forgot one and that was "operation peter pan".

 

The setlist from Boston looks great! I wish I could have been there...

Lol, too intense! That is why I love her music--and her live performances.

Yep! It's ok, I guess. Strange is one of my favorites off of Scarlet, but I don't know if the twangy guitar works that well with it.

I just had to post this tidbit of the Mixfest review on Mtv.com: Tori Amos howled through haunting versions of the Animals' "House of the Rising Sun," Bruce Springsteen's "I'm on Fire" and Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Amos further pushed the creepy envelope when her playing became so frenzied that she could be seen on the FleetCenter's giant video screen drooling onto her grand piano.
