Actually, I was a little let down by that Aayla pic. I was expecting a really hot twi'lek babe, admitidly she has a pretty face. Though, I think that the twi'leks giving Sebulba a back rub were more ravishing than her. I mean, in all likelyhood she'll have no diolouge so LFL should have just went ahead and got a really beautiful model like they did with Aoura Sing. (Milla Jovovich as a Twi'lek, anyone?)

now which one is Bariss and which one is Luminara? I had such touble placing them in my mind the whole time I was reading TAS.

Any of you remember the end of the documentary at the beginning of the Episode I Collector's Edition VHS? It alludes to the fact that George is just tapping into the grand vision and CGI possibilities with TPM. Anywho, GL's shown riding off on the back of a golf cart with Sebulba's blue-skinned, Twi'lek masseuses.
The article over at TOS says that John Foster's art for DHC's Darkness caught George's eye. Who was on the cover you ask? Why, our lovely blue-skinned Twi'lek Jedi-on-the-mend, Aayla Secura, of course. I think ole' George has a thing for 'em!

 

Here's how my pick up atempt would go on ol' Aayla.

"Excuse me miss, but I couldn't help noticing how wonderful you look this fine day, if you have a moment perhapes you'd like to join me for some coffee?"

*Aayla pretends not to notice and continues walking*

"I'm sure you're a busy person but perhapes later you might consider going out later this evening?"

*Aayla makes a mad dash for the nearest exit*

"It was nice to meet you too!"

Can't blame a guy for trying.

 

She has huuuuge... tentacles.

 

I can't help but wonder why Aayla is wearing something that exposes her midriff, and not those nice concealing Jedi tunics that Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon wear. I hope there's a good reason for this in the movie, such as Aayla being undercover, and it's not just "sex sells".

Are brain-tails called brain-tails because the brain actually extends down into them? If you cut off a Twi'lek's lekku, would they then be half-wits--assuming they survived the initial chop?

It seems they are just reusing props for different Jedi, which is probably why the Maulish kitbashed sabre is seen in the picture above. Also note that Aayla appears to be holding in that promo pic the blue sabre that Obi-wan has in the arena and uses in the duel against Dooku, as seen in the trailers.

I guess it would be impossible to do a coin toss with Twi'lek currency. Calling heads or tails would refer to the same side of the coin...

Her Lekku seem a lot smaller in the actual photo than they did in the production art.

 

I don't find her a particularly attractive woman with or without the paint. I would like to see some closer-up pics of Luminara and Barriss, especially Bariss, because I really don't have a good impression of what she looks like.

 

She's good lookin but not particualt hot.

The actress who plays Aayla is named Amy Allen. The outfit she's wearing is one that she wore mainly in the Darkness series. I'm really excited that I'll get to meet her at C2.

I know for sure that she's on screen for at least a half-second. You can see her in the Clone War trailer at 2 min. & 03 sec (that's 2:03, at the bottom of the screen).
