Loved this one. Seeing Thrawn build his circle and so many call backs to Mando was amazing. Which I find surprising since I don't even particularly like the Mando episode this is calling back to. But Rukh, Thrawn and Pellaeon as familiar characters made me care more about this. Also Morgan seems to have had more of a plan in this one. The visuals were also pretty neat in this one.

    9/10 from me.

The visuals were amazing, and we got Pellaeon, Thrawn and Rukh (he lives!)! I'm not too into bringing back supposedly dead characters, but I was just thinking as my son watched Rebels over Christmas break how these new post Empire movies would feel empty without Ruhk there. Now it's game on. Elsbeth's plan on the Tie Defenders being overlooked was great and gave her the persistence to succeed.

The whole sequence on Corvus was top notch, from that amazing duel to the intricate conversation between Morgan and Thrawn. I definitely think this is a preview for Thrawn and Pellaeon's relationship in Ahsoka season 2 and/or Filoni's movie.

They skipped the part how in Malanchor orphaned witch on planet with hardly any technology becomes galaxys best fighter designer.... And a lot of Thrawn dialogue. I think we should've seen Thrawn in his art gallery. Seeing Grievous mask (or replica) there would've been awesome way to make Elsbeth see him as natural ally.

I also missed the point where she get the beskar spear (was it already on Dathomir) It would've been awesome gift from Thrawn. So many missed opportunities to strenghten their connection.

    I gave this a 10/10.

This was nice time jump I thought. You could see how tough a time she had working for the Empire, and how Thrawn's entrance into her life really helped her as much as can be said. It was cool seeing Rukh again, and even then Morgan was an impressive fighter. Would you say this is the beginning of Rebels?

Stupid attempt of pun "how on earth". Used even wrong preposition... oh well...

Thrawn’s monologue was excellent, and this series excels at visual flair. In general, the plot mostly held together, but having seen the next episode, it’s pretty clear Filoni chose the “revenge!” line for Morgan because it sounds cooler than whatever other placeholder motivation she was supposed to have before the vision she mention sin the follow-up episode.

At its best, this is maybe the most actual Tales of the Empire episode in the first arc; thanks it’s real strength. Arguably, the missing link between the first episode and this is its biggest weak spot as part of an “arc.”

I'm thinking maybe a little before Rebels since in the opening shot we see two Venators with the Star Destroyer, indicating that the Empire's military hasn't been completely overhauled yet like it is in Rebels.

Makes me think of Darth Trocious, Darth Sploder, Darth Urderer, Darth Stroyer and Darth Ithead from Futurama.
