Travel time between Coruscant and Kamino?

I imagine a relatively long time.

Coruscant (Core World) to Kamino (Wild Space) would ordinarily be 120 hours with a Class 1 Hyperdrive (standard on a Delta-7 Jedi Starfighter).

You can make the following assumptions though.

An R4 Droid configured for Jedi use would likely have a +15 Astrogate Skill. The base difficulty (if we *assume* that the coordinates to Kamino were one day old or less -- stretch given that they were going towards a gravity shadow, but okay) would be 28 (10 base difficulty, no hazard and +18 travel from Core to Wild Space).

So we'll assume that the R4 Droid made the roll (higher than average -- 10.5 -- but not much). But the droid only has a 15% chance of knocking 1 - 12 hours off the trip, which is unlikely. So the trip likely took the full 120 hours (or 5 days).

On the OTHER hand... if Anakin and Padme left the same day (if bulk freighter A leaves Coruscant heading SSW on Day 1... ) travelling by passenger liner to Naboo (assuming a straight journey -- likely given Naboo's refugeee efforts)... let's assume the equivilent of a low-level Smuggler is the pilot (it'd be more an freighter pilot, but their skills are likely equal) so she's got a +11 Astrogate skill. The ship's got a nav computer and the data's DEFINITELY less than one day old, so the Base DC for the check is 7. Assume he averages a 10.5 so, rounding down, rolls a 21, and subtracts 2 - 24 hours (average 13) from the travel time of 84 * 2 == 168, for a total of 155 hours. So, conceivably, Obi-Wan Kenobi ends up on Kamino BEFORE Padme and Anakin reach Naboo!

 

But Padme and Anakin did leave before Obi-Wan did- Obi-Wan went to the analysis droids, dex's diner, the library, and then to yoda and finally to Mace before leaving.

Right, but assuming he dropped them off at the starport early in the day, he could easily have accomplished visiting the temple, Dex, back to the temple to Yoda and then talking with Mace in the hanger all in the same day.

Even if he left the NEXT day he'd still arrive at Kamino before they arrived at Naboo.
