    Thanks guys.. that really helpful!

Can you post some more info on Bondara, Ziveri, Vant and Secura

Those four caught my interest the most.. for instance why did one of them have one lekku?

If you have any links to these guys it would be great.. but typing info you have which could help me flesh out my character would be great... this dude/gal will be my grandparent, so he/she must be from a time in the republic era where that could be possible (my character being from the rebel era)... any of these persons from a noble family? I kind of planned that my character would be

If you give your character the surname "Secura" you can be sure he/she will be from noble family (Clan Secura) that has exhibited jedi blood. (ie Aalya Secura)

    For more info on Aalya:

    Databank

Anoon Bondara is detailed in the book Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, and to a lesser extent, Cloak of Deception. Little is known about his family, the Dara clan. You can find his bio in POTJ.

    Some excerpts:

    - He is weapon master with the lightsaber
    - He believed in teaching reliance on the force. He believed "a Jedi whose lightsaber is guided by the Force need not fear the outcome of any battle."
    - He had four padawans. His last was Darsha Assant.
    - He disliked Twi'lek society, especially their role as lackeys or slaves of Hutts.

Note: Being ROTE jedi, they are unlikely to have had children, though there are always exceptions.

Why not make your character a nephew(niece)/grand nephew (niece) instead?

Bondara--he was the Lightsabre Master at the Temple, who gave training to all the Padawans (not just his own Padawan, human female Darsha Assant) in the fighting arts. HE gave his own life blowing up one of Maul's Bloodfin speeder bikes trying to kill Maul. Maul survived of course:( He was a good fighter though.

Ziveri--the founder of Almas Academy in the CUlarin system, predecessor to Lanius Qel-Bertuk. He mysteriously disappeared, which is why Lanius became Headmaster.

Vant--the Jedi in charge of the youngling clan (as yet unidentified) at the Temple which inc. OB1, prior to his apprenticeship to QGJ; her missing lek is a mystery
(p.s.--lek is singular, lekku is plural)

Secura--well, she is a Knight now, but was once Padawan of the Kiffar Jedi Quin Vos. Vos appeared briefly on Tatooine in TPM and inspired a lot of comics abut him and his apprentice, then George thought she was cool and stuck HER in AOTC at Geonosis, which she survived. She's still good, but Vos has gone CIS. She is a good pilot of the Aethersprite, like Adi Gallia.

BTW, Siolo was a neat Master. He beat Darth Maul (who was using a regular lightsabre) using nothing more than a wooden staff. Maul couldn't even get a blow in at him. He must of been better than even Bondara (who Maul was the equal to, perhaps better). Maul built his double-bladed sabre SPECIFICALLY for the purpose of killing Siolo.

I've never heard of this Siolo character before and couldn't find anything about him in Nathan Butler's timeline... where's he from?

Siolo sounds pretty bad ass! Twi-Lek?

And yes your right about the children thing... nephew may be better

Another thing.... is the color of twi-leks inherited?

Yes, color is inherited. All red Twi'leks are red-skinned, all Rutian Twi'leks are blue-skinned, etc.

Your foul language is insulting and gratuitous, but Silo was a neat character. He was from one of the comics (Tales, I think). There were no continuity problems in it, so it can be considered canon, for people who care about that kind of stuff. His full name is Siolo Ur Manka. He had rather pale, greenish skin. Darth Maul murdered him on Jentares. A sumamry of the story, with a pic of Siolo, can be found in the Jedi Encyclopedia. He seemed a cool person.

BTW, a recent Fett comic featured an orange Twi'lek whose father was a Jedi killed in the Battle of Geonosis; he owned his fahter's sabre. Fett spared his life, pitying him b/c they both grew up dadless (both of their dads killed in the same battle) and the Twi'lek had a kid, whom Fett didn't want to make fatherless.

About Nat Secura being of a different colour to his cousin Aayla . . . yes, he looks paler, but perhaps he'll blue out in time? The way Earthian infants have one hair colour at birth, but can slightly change as they grow up.

Or perhaps Nat's like Durga: a facial birthsign setting him apart. Perhaps his different colouring is a product of how he was born. These things can happen.

    *Shrugs*

Well, Tarkona and Oola are half0sisters and differnt colors.

Maybe Aayla's mom and Nat's mom are different colors, but Aayla's dad and nAt's dad are the same color, and Nat took after his mom?
