Obi isn't a favorite of mine either, but I enjoyed Cestus for the side stories with Nate and the Clone Troopers, and also Sheeka's memories of Jango.
Fair enough. I also think my problem is with the Clone Wars stuff in general, with the NJO it was easy to follow, you knew what was happening when. With the Clone Wars you have the graphic novels, the cartoons, the books and the video games ( I don't have a console at this time and so feel with it being inlcuded in the Timelines at the front of the book, I'm missing out on some vital stuff!!), there is no clear sense of time within the varied projects - I know there are the timelines at the front of the books - however there appears to little inter-referenicing between the various sources to help the reader associate different stories in relation to what they are currently reading/watching/playing - it might just be me but that's how I feel.
This was tagged onto the end of the Empire #22 Dark Horse preview - <<"Star Wars is now available worldwide (except UK).">> When did Dark Horse stop shipping to the UK? I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere.
Kast - I believe it is because Titan is the UK publisher. I saw that tag line on DH as well, but on another comic it had Titan next to the UK..
I still thorught that Dark Horse shipped the single issues, but Titan dealt with the TPBs? Some of you regular single issuers will have to keep us informed.
I think Clone Wars Adventures #1 has been delayed - Amazon told me that it is going to ship it seperately from my other books. That does not bode well.
>>"I think Clone Wars Adventures #1 has been delayed - Amazon told me that it is going to ship it seperately from my other books. That does not bode well."<< They have it up as 4-6 weeks and an extra £1.99 for a "hard to find item". This has happened with almost every Clone Wars TPB on offer there [the 1st being the only exception] so I'd expect to see it in a few weeks time.
Picked up Unifying Force in surprisingly - WH Smiths - my local Waterstones are usually quite good but they haven't had it yet!! I've ordered Clone Wars Vol 1 through an amazon marketplace seller based in the USA, it takes bit longer but usually it's much quicker than amazon itself with these so called hard to find items
Seen plenty of Unifying Force paperbacks, so that shouldn't be too hard to find now. Inside the Worlds of the Star Wars Trilogy is out no so keep an eye out. I saw three in Waterstones, so hopefully this will get a larger distribution than the AotC one did.
>>"I've ordered Clone Wars Vol 1 through an amazon marketplace seller based in the USA, it takes bit longer but usually it's much quicker than amazon itself with these so called hard to find items"<< Very true - I ended up doing that with Volumes 2 and 3.
I'll be doing an update on releases again soon - it seems there's a load of new books coming out this year - including Clone Wars Vol 5, Clone War Adventures Vol 2, Empire Vol 3 - personally I'm looking forward to Tales Vol 5 but appreciate I'm in for a bit of a wait (probably 2005 at least)!!
Yes, I want Tales Vol 5 as well - didn't think it would be that long though. And none of the local bookstores had Worlds of Star Wars yet - looks like Amazon or Forbidden Planet for that.
Well, if I don't find World this week then I will put the amazon order in. I liked the Worlds of AOTC book a lot - hope this is as good.
Found Inside the Worlds of the Star Wars Trilogy at my local Ottakars today. They only had one on display and it is mine now.. No sign of the Clone Wars Adventures book yet though.

Over in the Collecting Forum Q&A thread someone posted a date of April 2005 for the Ep III novel. That sounds about right to me..
I picked up The Cestus Deception & Medstar 1 a few weeks ago. I havent read either yet as I've only just started Shatterpoint. Made a nice order from amazon, Clone Wars 1 & 4 (wanted 2 more than 4, but 4 was in stock and a decent price) plus Empire Vol 2, Outlander, Hunt For Aurra Sing, Emissaries To Malastare & Rite Of Passage. And I still havent started reading a few TPB I ordered last time. Eek!
Found the Infinities: ROTJ comic tpb in Ottakars today. I already have the individual comics but bought the tpb anyway.
Anyone seen Medstar 2 yet or are we expecting an October UK release? The September date I last posted was for the Del Rey US version. EDIT - Just checked - it's not due out until 7th October - WAHHHHHH!!!!
My local Ottakars this week had the re-released Star Bores the Parody and the new Star Bores the Prequel parodies in a small hardcover. If you come across the book take a look - these are pretty funny. They are by Steve Barlow and Steve Skidmore.
Not really the right place to do it but I would like to announce the birth off my first child - my son was born on 17th September 2004 at 20:32, Ethan Russel Guppy weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces, both mother and baby are doing well. Now my Star Wars DVD should be here Monday and he is coming home Tuesday - can I watch them all in one day Or should visiting my wife and child be a priority - I think I know the right answer so I guess I'll have to see them another day At least I have plenty of reading material for when he iss a bit older - where shall I start him the the EU???? I'd just like to thank my wife for giving me such a wonderful son
