You can't be serious, jp. Ross would take one look at that T Rex and crap in his pants. He'd essentially be the lawyer, running into the bathroom to hide.

I'll have to go with Alan Grant. He's not afraid to get his hands dirty (working in the Badlands), and he's stared down the Big Bad (T-Rex).

Ross is a girly-man. He was dumped by his wife for another woman! And Rachel was way too good for him. "On a break" my butt.

 

Ross may not be able to face up to genetically engineered live dinosaurs as boldly as Alan did, but as far as I'm aware very few real life paleontolgists are required to do so in their day to day work either.

 

Ross slept with Rachel.

OK, so we see Alan would survive longer in Jurassic Park-gone-haywire, but how long would Alan survive in a Manhattan apartment surrounded by neurotic pretty gen-x-ers? Huh?

 

Well, let's assume they were in Monica's apartment. Grant would keep picking things up to look at them. It's what he does. He'd probably put them back in the wrong place, so Monica would attack him with a tire iron.

Actually, i think we learn in the Lost World that he did, at least in the book.

 

Alan Grant has Jurassic Park. Ross Geller has Jurassic Parka. Case closed, Grant wins.

 

Ross = whiny Gen-Xer from the worst shows of the last 20 years, also played by whiny David Schwimmer

Grant = from one of the better movies of the 1990's and a very good book, played by Sam Neill.
