    Hi,

I just installed The Force Unleashed on my PC.

I'm kind of stuck on the TIE fighter factory level (number 1?).

I force lowered the drawbridge and half of the horizontal bar.

Now I'm supposed to jump on that horizontal bar, and then double jump further onto the drawbridge.

However, pressing w and spacebar has left me on the horizontal bar on my best attempts. I cannot if my life depended on it get on the drawbridge.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    ^ There isn't one.

You must be thinking of a different level. Or a different game?

There's the bridge you "make" after defeating the first junk robot/monster thing in level two, but I kinda doubt you'd confuse that with the TIE factory.

Go on Youtube and find a video walkthrough for that level.

Have you tried using force dash?

I wonder if he's referring to the platforms you "make" with TIE solar panels in order to ascend to some upper catwalks where a holocron or two are hidden, coz as far as I can remember, you don't make any bridges or some such in that level.

okay on the same level there is this circular room where you enter and a few rebel scums surround you after a red force field comes up.
You defeat these rebels, and force grip the power source to unplug it from the wall to deactivate the force field.
enter an area and kill off all rebels
enter another circular room and kill all, except there are no force field this time.
now you turn and enter another rectangular room.

Next you go forward in a corridor, and there is a crevice /hole

a storm trooper is firing at you from the access point a la A New Hope.

you have to force drag a boulder from the left side toward the right, but it only goes half way.
You find a square thingy and you have to drag it down, forming a kind of half draw bridge.

Now I know that you are supposed to 'double jump' first onto the boulder, and then 'double jump' again on to the square 'draw bridge' kind of thing, and finally jump on the storm trooper.

My problem is that I can't seem to double jump from the boulder onto the square drawbridge.

A walkthrough wouldn't help, because I know already what I'm supposed to do on the screen, but not what I can do on the keyboard.

edit: All my forces are locked up.

edit: I can't get a saved game for pc anywhere. I downloaded one for ps3 and it messed up my program.

sounds like you need to use the alt+f4 combo.

The "draw bridge" IS on that level.
    Its a very small one...:D

After you turn the corner, you have to pull the wall insert out, then jump onto it. Ignore the trooper up above and target the metal flap beneath him. You will auto-deflect any shots, or you can just grab the trooper and fling him.:p Once up there, run forward until you drop out of the ceiling, open the double doors to your left and get ready to pound....

    EDIT:

The double jump IS tricky there, when you are new to the game.
Have you tried dashing with the trigger after the second tap of the jump?

    Thanks,

    I will try the following:

    w + spacebar
    w + spacebar + left shift.

Should get a 360 controller, the game would play so much easier.

    Agreed.

Can't imagine how awful fighting Kasdan with a keyboard would be.

Would have prolly chucked-it through my flatscreen.
    :p

for the xbox 360 controller, you are talking about the wired version right? does it plug into a usb or a lpt or something? I only see the wireless version in bestbuy.

Also, if you are talking about the wireless version, do you need a sensor? and does it come with the controller package? where do you get the drivers?

Only the wired one will work. It has a windows/PC icon on the box, and just plugs into a USB port. They shouldn't be too hard to find...

    Agreed 2.

That boss fight is still the stuff of nightmares, so trying to do it with a mouse+keyboard combo is definitely baffling to me.

Sorry to correct you, but you can buy wireless ones.

You need to make sure you buy a PC one which comes with a USB sensor though. After that you can sync any xbox360 controller to it, much like you can sync any controller to the 360.
