I was wondering if the following locations had been identified in other EU areas: in Chapter 1, the planet with the facility with all the antenna on top of it being strafed by Delta-7s, the place with the Clone Troopers wearing ponchos, and in Chapter 22, the place where Cody gives his "three months" speech.
    Thanks for the help.

I think the raining planet with clonetroopers with ponchos is Jabiim but I don't know about the other two.

The planet where the Clone Troopers are wearing ponchos might be Muunilist. I haven't seen the episodes in a long time though. I'm probably mistaken.

That rainy-world was Bomis Korri IV (from Chapter 22), which boasted less inclement weather than Jabiim. Muunilinst is in the first two "seasons" of episodes, but that rain planet's frequently been mistaken for Jabiim.

The rainy world is absolutely not Bomis Korri IV. Bomis Korri IV is the first planet that is attacked at the beginning of Chapter 22, and it falls in the first scene. The world with rain(which doesn't make it a "rain planet" just because it's raining), where Anakin gets the worms for food is seen much later in the episode, after the Outer Rim Sieges montage. Immediately after conquering the planet, the two get called to Nevlaan.

Though, I used the specific term "rainy-world" to differentiate between a planet that gets occasional rain -- like the one in the CW cartoons -- as opposed to the term "rain world" (from speculative fiction going back decades), denoting a planet experiencing constant year-round rain, à la Heinlein, and in Bradbury's "The Long Rain."

Wait a moment.... which planet was the one with the clones in the ponchos fighting? I thought that was Jabiim...?

As with many of Bradbury's novels... strangely disturbing.

Muunilist with Kenobi vs Durge (how a mage should fight!!) was in the first season, with a brief interlude with Ventress on her homeworld and Fisto on Calamari.

The official Clone Wars site on Cartoon Network identified this as Ilum. I guess the Seppies made a bit of a diversionary strike elsewhere on the planet to give their probes a little bit of clearance to land. Tucked away deep down in the crystal caverns, it's not improbable that Luminara and Barriss wouldn't know about either attack until they sensed the approach of the mine-layers.

There's also the planet with the enslaved aliens that look like metallic Jawas.

Didn't Heinlein's Future History have Venus as perpetually rainy and inhabited by giant telepathic frogs or something?

I think this was in one of his "juveniles," but still part of the "Future History" sequence, IIRC. Farmer in the Sky, first published around 1950 or thereabouts, also dealt with similar themes, but was set around Jupiter. He was better than most at predicting technological innovations (not great, but nobody is), but rather bad at the way they'd affect mores and sociology. (I found it amusing that a Martian colony would still have use for 1950s-style typewriters. [face_peace])

But that sort of stuff usually doesn't bother me too much. A story set in the swamps of Venus can still be a damn good story.

It was. I don't think it was a young adult; I'm trying to remember what book it was in. One of the short story collections for sure, I think The Songs of Distant Earth.

I remember the story he wrote about the mobile strees (I think "The Roads Must Roll" or somehting like that) was eerily insightful about the highway system and its various support groups (fast food, motels, etc) that would spring up to support it.

I always thought it was Rhen Var, as there's a similar structure there in The Clone Wars Video Game.

The problem with Jabiim is that it left such a mark in our memories that now, whenever we see a planet what is muddy and raining, we assume it's Jabiim.

I too think the poncho world is Jabiim BTW :p

I still go with the theory that the world with dome is New Cov.
