Not with my wife standing right there glaring at me I wasn't! Hey, it was a major concession that we even went over to the toy area to look if there was any new SW stuff.

Anyways, all collecting money is being diverted to costuming. I figure I am going to need $300 (at least) to make the TIE Pilot costume and right now I have...bupkiss!

 

JohnWilliams00, nice link indeed! I wonder if those re-releases are confirmed already by Hasbro? If they do come out though, I'll definately pick up all three.

Does anyone know which Vader is being re-released? I hope it's the one without the helmet, but i'm guessing it's the one with the helmet since that's the first and rarer one.

Just saw the fist images of the carded unleashed
wave that includes Bossk, Ayala Secura and a
Tusken raider. I think the Tusken looks good,
though his hand position looks a little janky.
Ayala looks kinda ridiculous to me. A real shame.
Just a silly, silly pose. She looks like she's
playing dodge ball. Bossk looks great. They really
seem to have doen well by the old lizard lately.

They are also re-releasing the Vader, Dooku and
Mace on new cards Not sure which Vader variation
yet.

And I think it's been confirmed that there will be
and IG-88 and Storm trooper coming out this fall.
Gotta have the Stormie! (If only they would find
their way here )

 

I agree with you there Juke. The boosk looks pretty good as does the Tusken raider. The way his fingers are positioned on his left hand does look quite strange... maybe they should have given him a closed fist instead.

i just purchased leih and obi unleased.

So far that is the most exciting thing that has happend to me this week. Its the only time i've see n this in the store on shelves. It was funny becuase i grabed one before a dumb little kid did and when to go check out the LOTR figs. When i got back i noticed that all the Leias were gone. Vultures.

Where did you get the Leia and Obi unleshed figs at? I haven't been able to find'em anywhere.

 

The Unleashed Obi is actually a pegwarmer here, believe it or not...on both the original (three at TRU that have been there forever) and new (six at a single Wal-Mart) cards.

 

You just simply don't see them hit the shelves
here, at least not since the Solo/Yoda/Boba
wave. I did find Sidious the other day, but his
card had more wrinkles than an AARP convention.

The problem is that only TRU seems to carry them
anymore. I have read that Walmart does, but none
of the 3-4 that I visit regularly on my hunts seems
to. It's not that I get there too late, there's not
even a peg for them. I have had to resort to eBay
for the last two I bought (Both Lukes).

 

Suncoast usually carries them.

 

I feel for you, Juke. Over here, none of the Wal*Mart stores carry Unleashed. I'm not sure exactly why, but I suppose it's due to the poor sales of the initial wave. Even if that's the case, the newer waves would most certainly sell. The nearest retailer I can pick these up at is TRU, and the nearest one is over 30 miles away. My parents don't let me drive out that far, so I usually have to resort to eBay if I want something Unleashed.

 

its been since padme that i hav seen anything on the shelves. I was suprised to see the ones that were there. I've yet to see any of the last two waves anywere. I'm kinda angry becasue i don't have lots of money to spend on buying them plus shipping.

 

You can still find Padme and anakin around NYC a little, but it seems mostly Han is everywhere they sell Unleashed now.

Someone mentioned wrinkled or beat up packages....do any of you actually open and display them like I do? Or are you all mostly "moth-balling" them?

I keep mine in the packeging because the artwork
on the newer releases is so awesome. The unleashed
line didn't appeal to me until they changed up
the packeging.

 

Unleashed were meant to be opened. The packaging is just icing on the cake, IMO.

 

I definitely display mine. However, I would like a new Leia and Obi-Wan to keep in the packaging because the artwork is so cool

Fantastic artwork, as always! Also, I never noticed this before, but the Tusken Raider comes with interchangable weapons - a Gaffi stick and a sniper rifle. I can't wait to pick these up!

 

I don't like the artwork. Aayla looks nothing like Amy Allen, and Bossk looks like, well... not like Bossk. The Tusken art is pretty neat. The backdrop on the card looks so Native American. Interesting.

As for the figures themselves, Aayla doesn't look very good in that pic. The face looks like someone else. I hope it's just this particular sample, because I was looking forward to this piece. Bossk and Tusken look great, though.

 

Ayala is the best of the female figures so far...as far as look goes. None of the three women done so far have been perfect, and at least she's in an action pose.
I love the Bossk figure! Can't wait to find that.

I started buying The Unleashed line {last month} the only place I have found them is at 1 Wall Mart in San Diego I HAVE...

Guess what I found today? [drum roll] ... The new Unleashed Figures!

My comments are:

Bossk: Dead on! I like the way they made his tongue curl up to make him more lizard-like. Great figure!

Tusken Raider: This rocks, too. The nice think I like about it is that Hasbro gave us an extra arm and gun that we can use to change his pose.

Aayla: er... I never did like her ballet/dodge-ball pose. To add insult to injury, she has something like red veins running through her skin. Ewww!

NONE of the repacks have hit this side of the world yet. Which is unfortunate cuz I really wanna pick up Leia. Well, atleast I have the three new ones to keep me happy.

 

why in the world did they make a bossk unleashed??

secura looks cool an the tusken could be worth it but all bossk did was stand on the bridge of a SSD. he wasn't even holding his gun in his hands! couldn't they think of any othe characters to use?

 

I have a question for those in the know....

I just snagged a Leia Unleashed, effectively completing my Unleashed collection. Um...has anyone peeked under the veil around the waist of the figure? Is what I think is there there, or am I seeing things?

 

hmmm, i've never felt compelled to look.
