Express any opinion that's related to Star Wars that would most likely get you eaten alive by the mjority of people on the Internet. One of mine is that TPM is by no means a "bad" film. I loved it as a kid, and I still like it today. It did have it's problems (Jake Lloyd's acting at times, Jar Jar), but it was a fun, simple adventure.
Order 66. I hear so many stories of what it is and everything else. True to phantom menace. Love the movie. Great entertainment. I like jar jar but he can be a serious derp derp derp at times.
A lot of people believe lucas did not explain order 66 very well in the movies..... that makes it unpopular..... anymore questions....
Seriously... an event leads to opinions...which can lead to questions...which can also lead to something being unpopular....
So it's your opinion that it wasn't handled well. If you had just said that in the first place we could avoided all this confusion.
The problem with digital cinematography and CGI in the prequels wasn't that they were inherently bad decisions, It was that the technology of the time wasn't quite ready for the level of ambition Lucas was trying to achieve. Especially in Attack of the Clones. In fact, I'll go one step further. The prequels were the technological "fall guys" that led the way for films like Avatar and other CG-Heavy flicks. The prequels may not have done it particularly well, but they showed it could be done.
I like AOTC because of the Master/Padawan between Obi-Wan Kenobi and yong Anakin Skywalker. Also TPM i like because of Qui-Gon Jin and young Kenobi , I like the Teacher and Student it shows between Jedi. And ROTS carries a little bit of it in it, so i guess im saying i pretty much like the prequel triliogy and don't think anything is wrong with it. ! And my answer to the question, is Hayden portrayed Anakin wonderfully!!!!!!!!!
Empire is the most overrated of the series, by no means does that mean it's bad, but it's put on a pedestal like it's above the other films when it's not.
I prefer the Hayden Christensen at the end of ROTJ instead of Sebastian Shaw, I feel it fits the saga better, but idk that's only my opinion. D:
In terms of acting, the cast of the Prequel Trilogy is significantly stronger than the cast of the Original Trilogy.
This was going to be first on my list. I thought I was the only one! Also- I love the prequels, probably as much as the originals. I don't mind Jar-Jar. Sometimes I like him, and sometimes I do think he's funny. I thought the acting in the prequels was just fine. I found neither Anakin nor Luke to be excessively 'whiny' I don't mind the Ewoks. And I like the A/P romance.
I love Anidala In small doses I don't mind Jar Jar and I like his character growth and becoming a Representative I enjoy the politics of the PT I like Hayden at the end of ROTJ I don't have a problem with Hayden or Jake Lloyd I don't mind the Ewoks Can't think of much else...should I prepare to go into hiding yet? LOL
The prequels are the superior trilogy Anakin-Padmé is a better-presented romance than Han-Leia Luke is the best character of the OT The politics enhance the Saga One of the best pieces of acting of the entire Saga is by Hayden Christensen in AOTC, regarding Shmi's death and the Tusken slaughter Gungans are cool and have interesting tech Han Solo is overrated and rather irrelevant The Imperial Officers are more interesting and complex than the Rebels
In some circles, definitely. I can't recall the number of times I've heard Luke described as a "whiny *****." And as a case in point: I know it's a "celebrity poll," but seriously, not one vote for Luke? He's the main character, dammit!
