I honestly don’t know. I was sick in both August 2021 and August 2022, but I think both of them were just a standard cold. I was only out of work for one day each time, and I never bothered to test to see if it was Covid.

I also had a bad case of food poisoning two months ago, but obviously that wasn’t Covid.

that's it! to hell with avoiding crowds and wearing masks on public transport! I'm going to start licking elevator buttons immediately to do my part to stop the Cameron scourge!

Still no confirmed positives on my end. Have had some unpleasant respiratory viruses though but they come and go in about two weeks with no antivirals (as a 27 year old with no major health issues getting a prescription is a very tough sell to doctors these days. Only get told to buy the OTC medicine to manage symptoms and ride it out)

    Hello patient zero.

Seriously though, that’s super early. Which country were you in at the time?

If I had it I was asymptomatic. However for the last few months I've had two of the symptoms of Long Covid - bad coughing and fatigue. I'm feeling better now (still not 100%) but it's been a few months getting this far.

America. Pacific North West. But one of my partners at the time was a pink collar worker, and I got it from him.
He and I both had long covid symptoms well into the year.
I was in and out of the ICU, but they dubbed it an "unknown viral infection" and refused to test me for Covid because I had not been to China.
Both of us did not have coughs, so no one considered it could be covid.
Like I had Fever, Sore throat, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Muscle Aches, uncontrollable Diarrhea, chills , runny nose.
Then long term for over a year exhaustion, muscle aches, pityriasis rosea, Sleep problems and extreme brain fog. He lost all taste for over 3 months...

So if it wasn't covid, then some other terrible virus got me haha.

Dodged it up until 10 days ago. :(

Mild symptoms, thankfully. Vaxxed and boosted up the wazoo.

Sounds rough whatever it was. If there is some silver lining, at least the hospitals weren’t overwhelmed back then.

I got it back in early November 2022. Had one night where I felt really sick (my angel of a cat didn’t leave my side) but otherwise just had fatigue and loss of smell/taste for four days.

That I know of, no I haven't had covid yet. Nor has my wife or kids.

That said, in Feb 2000, a month before it all exploded, I got sicker than I ever had in my life. I work in a bio tech so we were all vaguely aware of a new virus spreading in Asia, but didn't seem concerned as it wasn't here yet. (Even though we later found out ... yes it was) The worst of my cold was gone in a few days, fever broke, but the cough lasted for weeks. Even saw my doctor and tested neg for flu and pneumonia. I have asthma so I just chalked it up to that. I finally felt better in March. And that's when everything shut down. I've only been to my office 3 times since it closed down on March 14th. (It reopened later that Summer, but I never had to go back in)

We live just outside of Boston. And I've been vaxed and gotten my boosters.

Never got it confirmed but me, my wife, and our cat got really sick around Valentine's Day 2021. Felt like the worst flu ever, a blanket seemed like a boulder on me. Thankfully the worst lasted two or three days and felt ill for just over a week total. She got her first symptom exactly seven days after my first. That's the only evidence I have that it was Covid because it wasn't "officially" in my state yet.

What makes me feel bad is my job makes you jump through so many hoops to call off sick most go in even though you feel like crap. Back then if I wanted hand sanitizer I had to bring in my own (which I did). Don't want to think about how many people I potentially spread it to.

Even though I'm vaxed and boosted I still wear a mask out in public.

I really should have put a third option in the poll for cases where circumstances indicated probable covid, if even never confirmed for whatever reasons.

I've had it twice, first time was asymptomatic (early on, tested before visiting parents), second was the sickest I've been in a long time.

I am surprised that the poll numbers are as close as they are at this point. But that may be because some of folks with "probable but unconfirmed" cases went with the "no" response. Maybe in another 6 months to a year, we'll redo the poll with that third option.

Last February. I took a COVID test to board a transatlantic flight—mandatory at the time—and to my great dismay it came out positive. No idea where I got it from; I’ve been careful since the onset of the pandemic. So I had to reschedule the flight (by two weeks!!). The next day I started coughing. The coughing lasted a day or two; it was never more severe than that, undoubtedly thanks to Moderna.

February 2022, after 2 shots in March/April 2021 and 2 shots in July 2021. Then got a booster in April 2022, and then the bivalent omicron booster in September 2022. Been good again so far. It wasn't what I thought it would be like, I didn't realize how bad it was until I let myself rest for a few days, and even more when I did recover from it. I thought I was at normal mental capacity but in retrospect it really messed with my mind. And I had some heavy breathing at times that didn't help my anxiety, along with how long the coughs and aches and just fatigue and brain-fog lasted. The fatigue and brain fog were actually the scariest parts, along with the few nights I felt like breathing was way off and my oxygen blood level was hovering around 92/93.

My mom may have it again after having it in September. We'll see. I was around her the last couple days, but not today since she told me she woke up with a fever.

Once again, I wait and see.

I tested positive on Monday with it. I have all the shots plus both Boosters. I don't feel all that bad. Dragging ass here and there, but otherwise good. Only thing bothering me is the boredom since I am out of work for 5 days.

Covid finally caught up with me--started feeling off yesterday and tested positive this morning. Mild symptoms so far. I slept in the guest room last night so hopefully hubby won't get it (he's never had it).

I’m on round 2. Not nearly as bad as it was the first time.
