Double post, because the contents of the previous have already been added to the list (thanks).

How to read a book in a week

Perfect for those who struggle to read and review longfics as well; since reading makes one a better writer, too. :)

The site Atomic Rocket - http://www.projectrho.com/public_html/rocket/ - could be an useful resource.

The site described itself as " mainly intended for science fiction authors who wanted a little scientific accuracy so they can write SF "the way God and Heinlein intended" (Arlan Andrews's Law). But anybody who is interested can play with the toys contained within, designing their own Planet Rangers Rocketships. It is assumed that the reader has enough knowledge to know the difference between a star and a planet, high school mathematics, and enough skill to use a pocket calculator. Computer spreadsheet and computer programming skills are a plus, spreadsheets in particular will make your life much easier."

Posting here because I personally don't want to loose this: New-Canon map of galaxy.

(and, yeah, sadly my jokes about TFA happening in one tiny corner of the galaxy due to the lack of travel time, TUUUURNS out to be right... well, except for D'Qar).

You call that "one tiny corner of the galaxy"? How is that "one tiny corner of the galaxy"?

Well, all of the movies have operated at a light speed factor of "the speed of plot".

Wow, such many great resources! Mmmm... Ewok Poet, Brain Pickings is one of my favorite websites on the web too! =D=

I'd like to share some useful things, which I use in my creative journey.

Noisli https://www.noisli.com When you want to have your own comfort zone for writing. My favorite mix is rain & thunder & fireplace sounds.
Unplag https://unplag.com When you care about copyright, use this tool. No more any word-to-word similarities in your writing. Like to feel myself in a safe place. Content writers will love this too, I'm sure.
Power Thesaurus https://www.powerthesaurus.org It's a smart thesaurus, which suggests you synonyms to word which you typed in. It helped me to get rid of some cliches in my writing. Advice everyone to try it. It's crowdsourced, so you can make it better with your writing power suggestions.

    For those interested in conlangs:

This program translates from and to thirteen different conlangs in the SW universe. The process used may or may not be consistent with the official material.

Personally, their Olys Corellisi looks more like a jumble of Esperanto and English than Esperanto and Latin that I've been using myself. :p

Maybe this could fit here: http://speculativeevolution.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page ?

A wiki collecting published speculations about future animals and such. I think it could be an good writing resource for people looking for new life forms to populate their planets with, or at least inspiration for it.

This came up in a NaNoWriMo Facebook group I'm in and I thought it might be helpful here. It's a two part article about writing skintone.
Part 1 is about describing people of color by using food examples and why it's almost always a bad idea.
Part 2 is ideas and examples of how to describe skintone.

The same site also had a great list of questions/articles about stereotypes and tropes for PoC, religions, and marginalized groups. All of this might not be quite as useful for Star Wars, but some of it certainly would be.

Question: I have not taken a look at it but dose it give an tips on what to use instead of food when describing the skin tone on people of paleness?

EDIT: just to be clear, I'm not trying to be funny. It's something I want to know since I usually only can only come up with food examples when describing pale people.

I just had a look. It doesn't, but it also makes a fairly good argument why the issue doesn't have the same importance when describing white people.

Part two does give descriptors for color that run the entire gamut of skin tones, so it does have some great non-food examples of paler skin tones. It has quite a few examples that I would have never come up with and ways to make your own from lists of different plants, metals, woods, etc.
