So this season showed that Sol covered up all the Brendok deaths from sixteen years ago and lied to Osha about it and in the end Vernestra covers up what happened on Brendok in the present day and will presumably manipulate Mae?

Sol used Osha to find Mae. I'm guessing Vernestra will use Mae to find Osha. Then when Mae and Osha find each other Osha will say, "Mae the Jedi have brainwashed you!" And then in the end Mae will kill Vernestra? So they're going to repeat the same story?

Sol heard the name Sith and Qimir might as well have been telling him that he was a soldier of Rome. Ok? Sure, pal. Saw one of them at the bus station last week too.

I think in the end it would be fitting for the one Jedi who actually discovers that the Sith are back, and exactly what that all means, is Vernestra. She doesn't know her evil former pupil is a Sith yet. Just that he turned to evil. That might be a somewhat common occurrence in Jedi teachings. At least enough where that doesn't automatically mean they've joined the Sith.

She finds out. Only to be trapped somehow, unable to get freed, and then dies before having the chance to tell anyone. Shortly before the Jedi come to save her, and have any chance to learn the truth that would save their Order and the galaxy.

And then of course, the Jedi Order reveals what Vern has done to the Senate. And they give access to the Senate to have oversight of the Order. The Senate then pushes increasingly harsher and harsher rules or restrictions on them. More accountability. Less autonomy. Less control of their own affairs.

In a sense she will be.

Since the show is taking the Sith POV, and our main character is evil, and her mentor is evil, that means their main adversary will the their "villain". Even DP might not be Qimir and Osha's primary villain, although he might make things horrible for them. It might be Rwoh trying to get to the bottom of what happened to her former student turned evil. If she gets close enough, she might soon figure out that the Sith are indeed back. And they'll need to stop that from happening. Which is why her character is shady and covering things up. Because's she's not supposed to be seen as the hero of the Sith story.

But framing Plagueis the way the show did, a true Monster hiding in a dark side cave, with haunting ominous tones, tells us who the true villain really is.

Intresting i found out that Vernestra's lightwhip is speficially suited to fighting Sith lords. So can this show end with a big battle between Vernestra and Darth Plagueis. She fights the ancient enemy of the Jedi, but loses.

I find it astonishing that so many seem to have read it like that.

Bold Prediction! In season two we'll learn that Vernestra did something bad that turned Qimir to the dark side. The two will face off and Qimir will kill Vernestra and another Jedi will cover up the events of season two so nobody knows that the Sith are back.:p

This actress looks so cool with longer hair (or just with hair). I hope they don't bring back baldy version in a possible S2.

She looks great bald with the tattoos. Good choice by the concept artists to not listen to @The Chalk Jedi. That was the right thing to do.

I think she is maybe already turning grey...I think she touched the dark side when she whipped her padawan out of anger

Sol and Vernestra are really responsible for all of the deaths we witness in The Acolyte.

Sol, because of the events on Brendok, and Vernestra being the former master of Qimir. Now, we don't know this for sure, but I have a feeling it will be revealed that she caused him to turn to the darkside.

You can't "make" someone go to the dark side. Qimir is responsible for people killed by Qimir.
