Speculation Villains for the Spin-offs

No chance of keeping things in the closet when your face gets a boner.

 

Alien invasion from the Unknown Regions or outside the galaxy.

 

Kind of looks like Emperor Xenu of scientology fame.

 

Grand Moff Tarkin.

 

Well,

I would like to have a spin-off about Dooku, his entire life. That could become a trilogy. The regisseur could make it like in Desperate Housewifes - some essential wisdoms presented in absurd, extremely and extremely funny situations while showing the intrigues of Sidious or the flaws in the Jedi-Temple.

Then I want having made a movie called "The son of Dathomir". Also from his early childhood, the training with Sidious until ... not even know when or if he ever had died even somwhere in Starwars-movie-comic-universe after the fall after the fight with Obi Wan.

 

This doesn't just go for Dooku but really any of the spinoff characters. I don't want to know how it ends before they ever start filming the movie. If they make the Boba Fett movie I'm half hoping it starts with him coming out of the sarlacc pit.

Some thoughts I had:

• A Darth Bane movie. It could start the opening crawl with Yoda's "Always two there are, no more, no less." and expand from that.
• A Plagueis movie. Similarly the Opera scene could be the first scene and disolves to the story about "Darth Plagueis the Wise"
• A movie about unintended consequences. Movie opens with a Jedi doing something noble and someone gets hurt in the process. That person, being force sensitive, becomes a Sith.

Keep in mind, folks, that a "movie" does not necessarily need to be in theaters. Disney does have ABC and Disney Channel. They're quite comfortable with making "made for TV movies."

Also, I agree in principal that they should deal with recognizable characters, they do need to get away from them when they can. One of the things that bugged me about the EU was it was always HanLeiaLukeMara, HanLeiaLukeMara, HanLeiaLukeMara. I kept wondering, "Why the heck is Luke going on a mission for pete's sake? He's 60 friggin years old! He should be telling OTHERS to go on those missions and sitting down on a rocking chair with a blanket and walker. As the Stormtroopers in Ep IV said, "Move along, move along..."

this is literally the first post i saw looking into this thread

 

I don't ever see that happening mainly because a budget for almost any type of Star Wars movie is too big to just release on TV. Let alone Disney Channel... Plus, TCW movie was originally supposed to just be the beginning of season 1 but then they said "Hey this could be a movie" so they released it in theaters. Same with Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm. Anything Star Wars would bring in the cash and the temptation to just release it in theaters would be too high.

 

I'd agree with you 100 percent for the biggies. But eventually, they're gonna be like the moon launches. No audience because "we've seen this before."

 

Shoot for the fences! No Sith time after time after time. Go for another species like the Vong! The Ssi-Ruuk! The Yevetha! The Mandos from KOTOR! etc.

 

Original villains that may be share some characteristics with EU characters???

I could see revan being a villain or a hero.

 

Bossk in a Chewie movie.

I'd love to see Tarkin making speeches on Holonet.

Tarkin could be the Goebbels of Star Wars.

 

Exactly what I had in mind. While Palpatine's pretending to be a figurehead, Tarkin would appear to be the one creating Imperial policy.

 

I would like to see the Vong sometime on screen handled better than they were in the EU, and made into the villains they should've been.

 

Hondo could be the villain in the Boba Fett movie.

 

I know the old EU is now considered not-canon but that doesn't mean they can't draw from it like Marvel does with their "back catalog".

I think Han Solo's movie should be about him trying to break away from the pirate crew (could be a good place for Hondo) that raised him and go to the Imperial Academy. Then, you could do a sequel about him being kicked out of the Imperial Navy for striking another officer for beating Chewbacca. That second movie would be about him and Chewbacca bonding. Perhaps he's on the run from bounty hunters (Fett, Bossk, etc.) hired by that aristocratic Imperial office (Baron Fel?) that Han embarrassed. You could then make a third movie about he and Chewie meeting Lando, winning the Falcon, making the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs while working for Jabba and eventually dumping his cargo when the Empire shows up. So the pirates would be the villain in the first movie, Fel and bounty hunters in the second and the Empire in the third.

The Boba Fett movie should be Fett vs. other bounty hunters competing for a prize bounty and winning favor with Darth Vader. There would be no villain as they are all villains but Fett's primary antagonist should be the galaxy's previous top bounty hunter, Cad Bane.

The Red Five movie should feature Luke's X-wing Squadron flying against a squadron of top Imperial pilots to raid an important Imperial target. Maybe Fel could be the primary antagonist for this too (crossover casting from the Han Solo movies).

The villain for the Kenobi spin-off should definitely be Maul or Vader.

 

Hondo is an anti hero not a villain though.

 

I just mean he could be the antagonist for Boba Fett and his gang.

 

I see how that could work what was your Idea.

 

I could see Maul as a villain and also the Mandos as villains.
