Fishburne used to be a thing back in the day as well.

Adams is Oscar Season Woman, too.

This seems to be the new WB approach. Godzilla's cast looks as though it were assembled by Sodrebergh or something. Then again, this all comes from Nolan, whose mantra for casting Batman Begins was get "someone" for most roles, which was what Donner did for Superman. Culminated in PRESIDENT DEVANE in the last film. Seems the other studios are starting to push towards this as well (See C. Thomas Howell as random crane guy in The Amazing Spider-Man, or Jenny Agutter as SHIELD Councilwoman in The Avengers.)

Jon Hamm - Earth 1 Lex Luthor
Bryan Cranston - Earth 2 Lex Luthor
Denzel Washington - Earth 3 Lex Luthor

MoS2 should really just be a movie where the multiverse teams up to tell Superman he probably should've tried to save Metropolis.

He's DEAD. I'm not talking obviously about a one-time thing, you ninny. :p

Look at the ongoing characters in the MCU, not the dead ones. Though, even the dead ones...

Well, I wouldn't take rumors as anything other than a grain of salt. If anything, they'd be just cameos to set up JLA and that's if there's any truth to these other bits of casting like Doomsday and Green Lantern.

Half the casting in "Superman" was done before Donner was hired. The Salkinds and Guy Hamilton had cast many of those known actors in an effort to say, "This film is not the 60's Batman series". That's why before Donner was hired, a banner was flown over Cannes announcing the casting of Brando and Hackman. It mostly help the larger audiences to swallow this crap if there's serious and legitimate actors doing these types of films. It's also why actual actors do voice work in animated films and series.

My apologies - the Salkinds, then. Actually Hamilton being involved makes a lot of sense, since half the cast of Battle of Britain is on Krypton, it seems.

So the Rock is apparently chatting with WB's DC folks. Thank you, everyone, for putting a word in for the guy at your various board meetings.

Why can't people just say Dwayne Johnson now? That's his actor name. I keep thinking of the only great Michael Bay movie when someone says that and then immediately assume how hilarious it would be for a bunch of coked-out execs conversing with the DVD case of said film.

Johnson's tweet doesn't say DC movies, just DC comics. If he said he was talking about something in 2014 with Warner Bros I'd be more interested. This could just be WB/DC trolling the fanbase to draw attention to whatever weird idea DC's come up with today for its comics in the year ahead featuring the Rock. Me, I'm hoping for a Rock comic series in the same glorious vein as the Muhammad Ali cartoon series.

Well, the fact is that Dave Batista did "Guardians Of The Galaxy" and the Rock would want to get in on that action. He's dipped his toes in one franchise and helped revive it. Putting him in another would be..."Best for business".

Started watching Arrow yesterday on Netflix. Awesome show, to the point I'm hopelessly hooked now. THIS is what a proper comic-to-TV adaptation should be like.

Those first couple of episodes are really, really good, aren't they? I do like the rest, too. It's hard to keep that level of intensity up for a TV show, and God knows the women on the show seem to have the Hollywood syndrome of being unable to make their faces move for any emotion other than mild surprise, but the lead is surprisingly good in the role (and if that's him actually doing the gym-based stuff from time to time then man the guy is cut.)

Yes, every epidose I've seen so far has been extremely good. And the production values throughout have been top notch. It's almost hard to believe this is coming from the same network that gave us the nearly unwatchable (at least to me) SMALLVILLE. And all the DCU characters or otherwise tips-oh-the-hat (Deathstroke, Deadshot, the Royal Flush Gang, Huntress) make my inner nerd go "eeeee!" I wish they hadn't killed off Deadshot, though. It'd be nice to have recurring villains and having Ollie go bow-to-gun against him was a delight.

To be fair, there's a distinct difference in that "Smallville" was trying to be different from what had come before. "Arrow" has the advantage of being almost original. There's only the Green Arrow from "Smallville" and the various cartoons from the last thirty years, whereas Superman's had over sixty years of outside media by the time the last show started.

One minor point when you get to it: ASIS agents, and Australians for that matter, do not look like that. Or talk like that. :D :D

Dude, given Screenrant publishes every brain fart sent out by the Twitterverse, maybe let's skip it until they actually cast him in something.

Will Amanda Waller show up in the S&B movie? She had an appearance in Lantern right?
