Not to mention the fact that people still poke fun at Batman and Robin. Was that actually a great movie because it left an impression?

As a massive life-long Batman fan, I detest it so much that I refuse to even address it by name. It's always "that godawful abomination," or "that blight upon cinema," or "that cinematic kick in the balls," and so on. It's so bad that even the people who made it have apologized, repeatedly.

 

It wishes it did.

That is the worst, nitpicky thing I've read. Mind you none of the Avengers seem concerned that the city was trashed either, when talking about eating. Not to mention they still make jokes during the battle as well, such as the party one.

As to the kissing scene, there was already hints of it coming with Lois choosing to not publish the story and then throughout from the time he turns himself in until they actually kiss, the romantic feelings were starting to materialize. You can see it in the interrogation room, before Faora arrives and after Clark saves Lois from the escape pod crashing.

Like when he's saved the bus full of kids, when he saved the oil rig workers, when he saved two soldiers, when he destroys the World Engine and snaps Zod's neck like a chicken to save a family. As well as saving his mother and figuring out how to get rid of the Phantom Zoners.

 

"Don't be so nitpicky" says man who immediately goes on to cite multiple low-impact sequences to try and combat a qualitative assessment.

 

With puns like that? That'd be a good guess, son.

 

I was always tickled by the fact that in the movie most intensely set on capturing some of the Batman '66 feel (And depending on your opinion they may or may not have succeeded) they took the only extremely serious villain from that show and turned him into a pun machine.

 

I didn't say, "Don't be so nitpicky". I would be a hypocrite if I did.

 

Man of Steel is steep in reality, so this would happen but way worse when Superman casually flew over the tanker truck which exploded afterwards.





Marvel movie is not steeped in reality at much as DC films, but they did do this.













Captain America saved us.

 

I enjoyed Batman and Robin and am fully ready to deal with men in their thirties mocking me for it.

 

As a comedy, it'd be quite brilliant. The problem is that the stuff that was supposed to be funny, wasn't. All the laughs are unintentional.

 

It's hilarious that people still think Batman and Robin tried to take itself seriously.

Except when he told the people of Smallville to get inside, that it wasn't safe, before engaging Faora and Dev-Em in battle.

Yeah, except people erected a statue in Superman's honor..



Not to mention that some people are wanting to worship him as a god for his abilities and saving the day.
