    They can't understand Superman because he's fundamentally about giving hope to the downtrodden and no Hollywood executive has felt downtrodden since the 1920s.

    I like Affleck in the role, Bruce's opening run to Metropolis and his "Take that as an absolute certainty." speech are both aces. Although this is probably just a "hey remember Ben Affleck Batman" setup in Aquaman 2 before he gets erased from existence and replaced with Michael Keaton via Flash so it's really just a hangout pop in to make his erasure in Flash more prominent.

    Anyway I am actually planning to see DC Superpets tomorrow, Ace the Bat-hound and Krypto the superdog in a flick is enough for me. DC Comics Superpets primer blog article is pretty neat.

    I saved our theaters by taking my daughter tonight. It was better than anything Snyder had done with DC for sure.

    Jokes aside it was a lot of fun. Obviously tailored more towards kids but it had a lot of nods for adults and fans of the characters. My daughter really liked it. Think DC and Marvel both should put out more movies like this, my daughter came away asking about some of the characters she wasn't really familiar with like Cyborg and Aquaman and a Green Lantern that wasn't Hal.

    Yah the Justice League in DC Super-Pets is more fun than either version of the actual Justice League movie. Also it's a cool mash up of different design styles for the League (like the Aquaman has the 90s hook hand but looks like Jason Mamoa). Anyway, this is the best bit and Keanu Reeves as Batman is gold
