That sneak peek is terrific, very fun, and moving. Looks wonderful. Love the fantasy elements. Very exciting.

 

It might be my favourite DC comic, period.

Pretty sure James Gunn just keeps a pocket Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion around for all purposes. Guys have great ranges.

 

I believe I read that this isn't the first shot of the movie but it is part of a fight scene that kicks off the movie.

 

Alan Tudyk was great in Creature Commandos, but could we get a different voice actor for other roles like the robots? He doesn't need to be every voice. It's becoming distracting.

The hype is so real. So awesome to see all the comments in every version of the released sneak peak footage on YouTube being so positive. People really relate to that Krypto scene!

 

Ohhhh I still saw some hate out there on FB this morning from some fans who think it looks too silly and soft. That Superman looks beta lol. Especially compared to Snyderman. They’re also hating that Superman is hurt and especially (now w this sneak peek) that he’s in pain from the sun.

 

Anyone who is describing him as "beta" is not someone I want sitting next to me at the theatre, so I'm okay with them not going to see it.

 

Is this like a flash forward opening? I'm assuming like Man of Steel it'll be flashbacks to Kansas and not linear like Superman The Movie

I don’t think so. I think we’re skipping the origin altogether, and the movie will start with Clark already in meteropolis, and visiting smallville occasionally. Maybe in this continuity, Pa Kent dies after Clark moves away, or doesn’t die at all… or maybe that one scene in the trailer is just a quick flashback, yeah.

 

There's hate on the channels, especially the grifters channels. They either have Snyder Derrangement Syndrome or Krypto Derrangement Syndrome.

 

Yeah, ignoring those people, who are... yeah, ignoring those people, the vast majority of reaction I've seen is pretty unanimously positive.

 

Well I still say opening with Clark with a punctured lung gasping for air, getting beat by his dog, and screaming in pain from the healing power of the sun (since when does that ever happen?) isn't exactly a soaring and hopeful Superman, seems more grimdark tonally which we already got
