    Unless the animators of Wallace & Gromit saw a production photo of Ian from that scene, odds are it's coincidental. Both were being made at roughly the same time.

    Seems both Reverend Clement Hedges and Sith Master Sidious entice their prey with various 'carrots' of one sort or another.

    And the Wiki site on Wallace & Gromit states "He has everything needed to kill the Were-Rabbit," just as Palps has all he needs to 'kill Anakin.'
