    That’s okay, Simpsons reference aside I kind of think international football is the worst version of the sport to try and get into - typically very conservative and emphasizing defense, and certainly not the cure for what ails you coming out of this slog of a final. Will I nevertheless be watching as much of it as possible while also holding on to the desperate hope that the Czech Republic has a solid run? Yes. :p

    Five friends from Florida came to visit me in Toronto, and they have been so, so obnoxious for the past three days. I am currently sitting with them in a pub watching this gong show, filled with malicious glee. Florida might win this Cup, but it won’t happen while my Floridian friends are in my own home city, and that’s all that matters right now.
