Were all the members of the band Queen gay?

I was under the impression that only Freddie Mercury was gay, since he died of AIDs (the year he died escapes me now, but I believe it was 1991... I could be wrong though). But, my friend told me today that all of them were (he said they were gay with each other though, I don't know if I believe THAT), and I was just wondering if that was true. Queen is an awesome band either way, one of my favorites.

And as for the AIDS=Gay you can thank Holly Wood for that. 'Philedelphia' may have opened people's eyes, but it didn't open them far enough.

Sadly though, being homosexual or Bisexual does increase your risk of contracting the HIV virus. So the whole AIDS=Gay thing isn't that far fetched. Think back to all the famous people who have died of AIDS... I would say a large majority of them were homosexual.

I think it is just as wrong to tease someone, or whatever, when their ideas of AIDs is largely based on what has been seen in the media. She wasn't even saying it was a bad thing, she just assumed AIDs and homosexuality go together.

 

Freddie Mercury was openly bi. I think one guy was gay, another was straight and I'm not sure about the 4th guy - he's either straight or bi.

Keep in mind, I know all this because my college roommate was a HUGE fan of Queen. I personally don't mind them, but I'm not a hardcore fan by any means.

 

Promiscuous does not even begin to describe Freddy. One story I heard involved Freddy and 14 sailors....

I really don't think it matters. If someone whats to tell use all what they do behind closed doors that's their business. Otherwise I don't think we need to know.

I love how self-righteous people like that are quick to espouse a doctrine of "tolerance" only to be intolerant of those who have differing world views. If it wasn't so sick, disgusting, and rife with hypocrisy it might be funny. At best, it's ironic that those who scream for tolerance won't tolerate intolerance.

But on-topic, I don't think any of the other members of Queen were gay. John Decaon is married, and Brian May has been in a relationship for years. Roger is a question mark, but I've never heard that he was either.

And you need not know that Freddie had AIDS to think he was gay. How 'bout the fact that he pranced around like a freakin' fairy?

Aybabtu, MOST 70's glam rock bands pranced around like faires! Not that Queen was glam rock, because Queen bloody ruled!! But you see my point. Freddy wore spandex on stage, besides that he wasn't anymore "camp" than The Darkness or 70's glam rock bands.

Furthermore, it's not true that gay people have more chance of catching AIDS. In fact, Lesbians are the least at risk. It was true at one time, the 80's i think and maybe before then. But its not true now.
