What are the mid-range, casual like dinner restaurants best suitable for dates?

how is anyone supposed to offer you any suggestions without knowing where you live (which would give us an idea about which restaurants may or may not be in your area), how much $$ you think is too much or too little, or what foods you do and don't like...

What about Hooters?

Ah, Hooters... I'll always remember the day when I went to the Hooters restaurant here in New York. A few friends and I had started the day by going to a taping of Late Night with Conan O'Brien. The show was funny (as usual) and we decided to head over to Hooters after the taping. And wouldn't you know it, when we got there, the Hooters calendar girls were selling and signing calendars! What luck! They were amazingly hot. Good times.

Oh yeah, don't take a date to Hooters.

say I have like 50-60 bucks for a date.

I'd say dinner would end up around 30 bucks...... give or take.

Personally, I steer clear of chains. Check out good local restaurants. They don't have to be trendy or expensive. I like the little Mom n' Pop places that have good food and a good atmosphere.

I'm sure you can find atmosphere - even in Fresno.

Crystal Falls is north of Oakhurst, a little ways from Fresno, and their dinners start from $19.95. It's a nice, mid-range place but it might be too far. I don't know how far you want to go.

I'd go with any Italian place, they lend themselves to a romantic atmosphere.

Any of the major chains (Applebee's, O'Charley's, Old Spaghetti Factory) would also be acceptable. I would try and find one in an out of the way area though, even if it means driving a bit further. It'll give you more time to talk in the car and break the ice before getting to dinner and it will possibly give you a less busy dining experience.

And I suggest Eddie's Bakery for after dinner coffee and cake and more conversation. It's got a nice little cafe and it's on the northwest corner of Cedar and Herndon in Fresno.

Should I attempt to kiss her on the cheek at the end of the night? or are there any signals that she enjoyed the date that might allow me to do that?

 

If she looks at you expectantly as when you walk her up to her door then she might like a little peck on the cheek. All women are different, there will not always be signs.

If you can't figure out whether she wants you to kiss her then don't. Just take it slow. If you guys hit it off there will be other opportunities for kissing.
