Andor what characters, loose ends etc do you want to see in Andor?

It does open up the question, why hasn't Dedra hired an elite bounty hunter to hunt down Luthen and Cassian now? Would Boba be too expensive for an ISB officer as low a rank as Dedra to hire him?

Luthen and Cassian haven't been tracked and captured yet.

That’s not logic. The fact that they haven’t been tracked or captured yet doesn’t mean that someone wasn’t hired to track or capture them yet.

 

Boba tracked Han and Leia and delivered them to Vader with ease, I just can't see him failing to track down Cassian if given the task.

 

On a Star Wars forum I frequent, hardcore Andor fans don't want any cameos at all which I don't seem to understand, isn't this Star Wars? Adult Star Wars shouldn't have cameos according to them. Are cameos just for kids? fan service...
I remember when allot of fans hated Luke in Mando... wrote it off as unwanted fan service. Thats why I come here much more civilized. BTW, Jango is dead and Boba hasn't matured yet... a seasoned bounty hunter that Dedra would hire in this era, who would it be? Aurra Sing maybe?

 

I didn’t say it had to be Boba. Plus, even if it was, Cassian doesn’t have a ship, nevermind one as distinct as the Falcon. And he’s not a well known and well connected smuggler, as Han was. Tracking Cassian would be much more difficult.

I would imagine the Empire would hire bounty hunters and that is something I'd like to see. Is it always fan service when we see someone we know? I don't think so, not when the story dictates how that character could fit in. I think the fans on those boards your reading are just referring to Andor in general hasn't had any cameos like the other shows have had and thus is different.

 

No, no cameos for the sake of cameos. If the character makes sense to the story, sure, but otherwise leave 99.99999% of the characters everyone wants to see crammed into every show out of it.

How much of Han's reputation was down to Han? Han was never shy of boasting. Anyway as I posted it was just something that couldn't happen to Cassian as he has to be free at the end of the final episode but possibly with Luthen, that could be a way of bring his story arc to a conclusion.

 

The vibe I get is that hiring Bounty Hunters would be beneath the ISB. Wasn't Agent Kallus' job to track rebels down? I'm sure he wasn't the only one. Might as well ask why Kallus didn't hire Bounty Hunters. I also doubt that Vader has to follow the rules as strictly as other others might have to obey.

cameos are cool not sure why some hate them. The Luke one in Mando was well received and boosted the show's popularity a lot.

 

I doubt they call a group of bounty hunters into a meeting Vader style, but I suspect it is pretty common for them to publicly list a price for bringing in people of interest. As far as Cassian specifically, perhaps not if they are afraid that letting on their interest/knowledge might send him farther underground. Or perhaps so...

 

Cassian arrives at the picnic on the grassy planet:

"Hey everybody..... I picked up some Peezos and Revnog!!!!!! "

 

I think people dislike them because (a) they make the universe feel small, (b) they're often pointless and contrived (remember the cantina guys showing up in Rogue One?), (c) they sometimes just seem like a cheap & easy way to get fans excited.

In the case of Andor, I think cameos are also a bit problematic because the tone of the show is so different from the rest of the franchise, so the wrong cameo could really feel out of place. Wicket randomly walking across the screen saying "yub nub" while waving at the camera just wouldn't work, for example.

 

I think fans should get away from the idea that this is such a serious franchise that we coundt get wicket in Andor and be fine. Cameos are part of the game in every franchise.
