It is a myth that blonde and red are dying out, if that was so it would have been died out already. and why dark is better, well the original people had dark hair, only eurasian descents have blonde hair, (from what I know) which has many got to do with uv exposure(inuit have dark hair but they have a rich fish diet which contains a lot of vitamin D whereas the europeans weren't as keen on fish , and therefore have more the need to get vitaminD by UV exposure, which is real hard if there isn't a lot of sun in the wintermonths. (Actually it is true that black people have a much higher risk of winter depression in northern Regions than white people because they can't get enough vit D from the sunlight. (similar to how whites are much more dangered to get sunburned once it is summer/when they are further in equatorial latitudes) anyway... I was light blonde as a kid, but now I am blonde brown, it is still blonde because brownhair does get different highlights , when sun shine on my hair the highlights are blonde, and so are the tips of my hair(sun-bleached)
