What do you think was going through Vader's head when Luke was getting electrocuted in ROTJ?

Seriously, whoever said about him having his first human emotion since putting on the suit was probably right.

 

i pretty much agree with Rouge Three. Luke was the last reminder or connection he had to Padme. He also new He would die one way or other anyway. He had known Palpatine wanted to replace him for sometime and the only way to do that is by killing him. Only two can exist at a time. I think the reason he paused for a bit was grasping the reality that he was dead either way, he may as well go out redeeming Himself, Mace, Ob-Wan,Padme.

 

He is singing "lightning strking again"

I believe force lightning was going thru his head

 

That reminds me I hope Palpatine is ordering out fried chicken tonight

 

I can imagine these lines going through his head:

"You say the biggest problem in this universe is that no one helps each other"
"You're a good person"
"I will even learn to stop people from dying"
"I sense the good in you, the conflict"
"You were the Chosen One"

Maybe some others, but those are very important lines when dealing with his redemption.
