What does Ben Skywalker look like?

As the topic line says, what does he look like? I checked the CUSWE, but there's no description of his looks.

Help!

 

Well, we know he'll have strawberry-blonde hair(Luke's vision) and most likely blue eyes, I'm thinking.

 

Ben's looks aren't very well detailed anywhere, except for the fact that he has a lighter version of Mara's hair and grey-blue eyes. The eye color is debatable, though, since that description came from when he was just born, and babies' eyes change colors.

 

Yes, He's got the strawberry blonde thing going I believe, and his eyes were grey when he was born, but the last description in the NJO for him had his eyes blue now that he was older.

 

I'm betting (and hoping) that he'll have the Skywalker-blue eyes.

 

It'd be soooooooo cute if he inherited his dad's adorable chin cleft.

 

LOL, Mar. I thought he had, but I wasn't sure if I heard that in profic or fanfic.

 

Let's just call the cleft chin official, shall we??

I can envision young Ben having strawberry blond hair. Then again, since his aunt and grandmother were dark, and there's brunette in auburn, he might surprise everyone by going darker --- like Obi-wan!!
Oh, and as a mother I can safely tell you that not ALL infants change eye colour as they get older. My now thirty year old daughter had light hazel eyes at birth and a dark thatch of hair (I'm dark Celtic Brit through and through with grey eyes, her dad was Slovenian and fair with hazel eyes).
So there are my thoughts on this. Had a chat with Ben's "Mom" at Celebration II. Amazing how in the earliest novel it was mentioned Ben was going to be a girl!?! Sigh. Got to love those inconsistencies. Here's another. I was told my an LFL source in the early 1980s that Colton Antillies (Captain of the Tantive IV) WAS Wedge's dad. And so it goes.

On the other hand, my eyes were blue grey when I was born, and now they're dark brown.

Ben's hair might get darker like Anakin Skywalker's did. He started out completely blond.

 

Well in the book Rebirth, I think Luke has a vision of the future and he see's Ben as a teenager, flying a strange vehicle and he still has the strawberry blonde(red-gold) hair, if I remember correctly. So hopefully it won't get dark.

I know for sure that there are babies whose eyes don't change color. I am Asian (brown eyes since I was born) and I first heard of the color change after I moved to the U.S. But I think Ben's eyes might get darker.

 

I would think he would look like his grandfather, or very close along those lines. I can't picture him with strawberry-blonde hair, he as Skywalker isn't he? He's got to have blue eyes.

 

So why is that you want to know that, LadyPadme, am I to assume that not only do Lukie and Mara get a kiss, they get, well, more?

I did a wallpaper a while back. Funny thing is...I'm not a Ben Skywalker fan per se. I think his grand daddy is fine as...well, you get the picture. Anyway, I was doing one out of curiousity and lo and behold it has been my screensaver for over two months now.

 

I've always thought it would be cool if he was a mixture of his grandparents-- dark brown hair and blue eyes.

I don't think that Ben could have dark hair. Even though their's not too much known about genetics and all that stuff, and Ben does have a cousin, aunt, and grandmother with dark brown hair, it is pretty well established that if two parents have light colored hair, the baby's not going to have dark hair, because brown is a dominant gene and all that stuff. (Much too long spent on genetics in Bio last year.)

 

It's possible, just rare.

Genetic traits in a child can come from relatives generations back.
