What ever happened to Kar Vastor?

Just flipping through the boards and an idea came to mind. Kar Vastor was imprisoned in the jedi temple or something right. Did he escape when order 66 hit the fan? Does anybody currently know his whereabouts?

 

I think so far both Kar and Depa are MIA since Order 66.



I hope he resurfaces some day. With Nick Rostu showing up in Coruscant Nights, it's possible we might run into Kar as well.




I would like to see Vader vs Kar where at the end, Vader beats him and convinces him to be one of the Emperor's Dark Jedi or something.

 

I'm all for that, I feel he was a pretty interesting character too. Hope there is a future for him.

 

Kar wouldn't work for anyone else.

 

According to his Wookieepedia article, his fate/whereabouts are unknown pending Order 66 and the raid on the Jedi Temple.

 

I would love to see Vastor return. He was an absolute monster in shatterpoint and i loved the fight he had with windu. That guy is just raw power

 

Don't you think if he turned out to be one of HIM's dark Jedi we would notice a 7 foot tall brick wall of muscle that didn't know how to speak Basic, by now?

I mean, he's not that easily mistakable...
Unless, of course, neither him nor Mace died (in his fall) and they were both set into service with a bunch of other Korunnai..

Maybe he escaped order 66 and the temple during the attack...and eventually ended up on Korriban. Lumiya spent some time there and she did indicated to Alema that there are others (Sith) out there that would pick up her mantle if she failed in putting Jacen on the right path (from her POV).

Makes for interesting possibilities...

There are also powerful force users in the unknown regions that have yet to be heard from in the EU...as there are many references to them throughout the various publications, if you factor in the comics, literature, games, etc...

When will we see them emerge????

 

He could also have been killed by Vader during Order 66 on Palpatine's orders. He was powerful enough to be a threat to them.

 

Why kill Kar Vastor though?why not make him a Dark Jedi like Jerec or Tremayne were? i could picture Vastor being given dark side training and a lightsaber on Byss and being one of Palpatines servants there, killing him would be a waste because the Sith wanted an army of force users that were corrupted like him anyway.

 

I imagine that once he got replacement cyber arms he used them to choke the life out of whatever Imperial supervisor was about, then got away & made his way back to Korunnai to lead his people again. He stayed there for a few years until members of Krayt's faction came there from Korriban looking for recruits for their army. Kar Vastor willingly joined & brought many of his force sense people with him.

Anyways I'd also like to see him written about again, preferrably if Matt Stover did the writing & I'd like to see Vastor written as a darkside warlord instead of another faceless tool of the Sith. So it's time to bring Kar back & have him conquer all of Korrunnai!

Kar Vastor = Lord Shadowspawn?

 

I always imagined after Order 66, Palpatine just released Kar (And Depa for that matter) on to the public and let them go crazy for awhile until Vader was brought in to drop the hammer down, So Palp could say "See! This is why the Jedi had to be destroyed! They're evil!".

 

Wasn't Depa like in a vegetative state or something? Even if Palpatine let her free, she would still just be lying there. Doesn't do much good to terrorize the public.

As for Depa, I always assumed she'd return someday. Preferably as a villain. Maybe she joins forces with fellow bad gals Asajj and Daala, who also seem to have disappeared to the EU backburner.

 

Kar Vastor can't be the secret apprentice. Everyone knows that's Anakin Solo!

 

I wonder how Daala's imperial utopia ever turned out, she could be back, then again maybe their settlement got eaten up by giant force roaches or something.

 

Just shoot Depa up with a butt load of GFFA Adrenaline and let her run loose on some Mid Rim world, Vader comes in, gets his "revenge" for whatever imagined punishment she gave him while he was younger and save the day, now everyone loves Lord Vader, the peace bringer.

 

Why not? Because Vastor is the jungle. You can't tame the jungle.
