What happened to Leia's red lightsaber?

I've noticed that since the Dark Nest trilogy, she's had a ligthsaber with a blue blade. I should probably remember, but what happened to her red bladed one from Dark Forces and other EU novels?

Anyone know?

 

It was destroyed in Balance Point.

 

I thought Saba made her give it up in Dark Nest to build a new one.

 

Leia has had several sabers over the years. I don't know when she lost her red saber, but I know she built a new one when Saba told her to.

 

Tsavong Lah had it in Balance Point, and when he put out a call to the GA to hunt down the Jedi and they would be rewarded, he stabbed it into the ground.

 

I thought he cut it in half or something. On a side note, does anyone know what happenned to Leia's green lightsaber? I think that's the color of the one she had in TTT.

 

leia never had a green lightsaber the one she had in the tt was her old man's lightsaber.

 

It didn't fit with Lucasian directives that only Sith have red lightsabers, so it fell through a hole in the the fabric of space-time.

And I should have said "dark-siders" before, rather than "Sith."

 

I thought Luke gave her one he made at the beginning of HttE, and he gave Mara Anakin's at the end of TLC. I don't remember what color the one he gave her was, though, but the comic adaption has it green. Then again, the adaption had Luke with a blue blade throughout HttE.

 

Leia definitely didn't have her father's lightsaber in HTTE, that didn't come back into the piciture until TLC and it was wielded by Luuke the clone and then after that was killed it was given to Mara. She still has it.

Seems like all saber colors are working their way back to movie standards. I'm sure they'll keep the purple/violet blades though because Windu gives it credibility. Say good bye to all the myriad of colors of the NJO. And good riddance. I don't mind certain things, but there's a point where it gets rediculous.

 

I Liked the NJO's rainbow lightabers, I never understood why Sith/Darksiders got exclusive rights to red. Red is a great color for a lightsaber! I ver use it in the KOTOR games because its hard on the eyes, but it is still a good color!

I hate the uniformity, especially in the NJO. A Jedi's lightsaber is supposed to be unique and representative of the individual, and that should include the color (which is influenced by the color of the crystal they use for the lightsaber).

 

Leia's had a number of lightsabers over the years, as has been said:

1.) Green bladed Lightsaber, built by Luke and given to her in TTT (you can see a blade description in TLC, pg 382 (hardback) second line).
It should be noted that though the comic adaption of the TTT has her using a blue saber, this is wrong as the books never have her lose her saber. It's still mentioned as green in TLC. Creative license I suppose.

2.) Blue bladed Lightsaber, given to her by Vima in Dark Empire (this is of course, assuming the one she uses to rescue Luke is Vima's).

3.) Red bladed Lightsaber, built again by Luke and given to her in The Corellia trilogy. Leia asked why a second saber to which Luke replied that it was a much better quality saber, and it was a gift to show she was a Knight.

4.) Blue bladed lightsaber, constructed by Leia in the DNT by order of Saba as part of her Jedi training.

 

I agree. I'm still ticked off that Yoda didn't have a yellow bladed saber as was shown in Jedi Council: Acts of War. I think Yoda ranks his own saber color (more than Windu anyhow). Also, the very first Luke Skywalker action figure came with a yellow lightsaber so it would make sense for SOMEBODY to have a yellow saber in one of the films.

 

The NJO is anything but uniform. Purple and bronze and yellow all over the place.

 

Leia built her TT 'saber, incidentally.

 

I was referring more to the idea of uniformity, and how it wouldn't fit in the NJO. I wasn't saying that lightsabers in the NJO are uniform (althought there are a distressing number of blue lightsabers ).

 

Sadly, it seems the lightsabers in the NJO are quickly becoming much more uniform.

 

No, Luke built her Thrawn Trilogy saber. It's actually borught up by Han when he asks Luke after an attack, "Isn't it about time she had one of those?" (very close to being a direct quote). Luke argues that it's usually something a Jedi does themselves as a Jedi test, but gives in and builds one for her.

This is also reaffirmed in the Corellia trilogy when Luke presents her with a second and she argues he had already made her one.
