If you have to ask this as a question it explains your disdain for all Democrats beyond President Obama... (I kid because I love!)
I think my punctuation is off. I'm not asking him if the ideas are opposite. I'm telling him they aren't, and expressing confusion that his sentence structure sets them up as though they were.
I'm looking forward to the movie! I just don't want it to be like MoS, BvS, etc... heels has a hate-on for io9, so anything I post from there is suspect...
I said that they didn't push "too hard". Extreme feminists don't care about understanding each other or working each other. They just love to play blame game.
You don't have a clue about what "extreme feminists" want, as you are not one, and you would be wise to stop pretending you do know.
WW was the best thing in that movie, particularly her role in the finale. She also got the best theme tune by far.
I want to be a negative nancy about all this, but I loved MoS to death and very much enjoyed BvsS, so bring it on?
I loved Gadot as WW in BvS, the trailers are awesome, I have been wanting a female focused comic book movie for ages now and that damn theme is the best thing ever. MoS sucked, BvS sucked . . . I didn't see SS . . . but I am really hoping WW is good.
http://comicbook.com/dc/2017/01/11/wonder-woman-villain-confirmed-new-images-released/ It's not a surprise since most of Wonder Woman's villains suck, but I'm still quite against using Ares as the foe of the Amazons.
I also don't see why would Ares want to wipe out humanity, his power came from people's worship and war itself. No humans=no war anymore.
Way back in the 80's George Perez rebooted WW in what was just one of the best series ever. In it Ares was going to do just that, but when WW wrapped the Lasso around him he saw the truth of his error, humanity would be wiped out, and so he was fade to dust. So he stopped. Perhaps that is what they will go for in this and if presented as it was then it will be awesome.
I didn't think Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice was a very good film. I view Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman as The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones respectively. Yet, BvS made my Top 10 list of favorite films of 2016. The biggest reason is Wonder Woman. When she finally hits the screen in all her glory, it really is in all her glory. And then you mix in her theme music, it's awesometacular! Not surprised on the baddie for the Wonder Woman film. It makes sense and probably the best fit for the origin story. Wonder Woman is one of my most anticipated films for 2017.
Right, but this isn't Greek mythology of the real world. This is Greek mythology of the DCU and in the DCU, Ares is an enemy of the Amazons who seek peace while he seeks war.
I think he's saying that a different interpenetration or adaptation of an established mythological character cannot be done that way.
