Concept art for both Oola and Shaak Ti shows them topless. Though Oola is a full frontal and Shaak Ti is a side, semi-back.

They can be seen in The Art of Star Wars: RotJ and AotC, respectively.

There is also a split-second costume malfunction, in Return of the Jedi, just before Jabba drops Oola down the chute to the Rancor pit. Femi Taylor remembers it well

That too, but its not as in-your-face as the concept art. I'm suprised that Lucas didn't edit it out for the Special Editions or DVD Editions.

Preserved for posterity, it is... :p

Very true, you really have to go frame-by-frame to catch it. I'm going to have to go and look at that concept art. =P~

I was about to make a joke about how you must have done so many times already, but the second sentence kind of makes that unnecessary.

When I saw Femi about a year ago and got her autograph, I avoided the said scene and she wanted to talk about ballet.
    Very nice Lady.

im still subscribing to the theory theres different sub"races" of twileks, to explain the ear/cones thing.. discolored cones (some reason cones are "better" than ears?) eyebrows and lashes could go into that as well..

I just noticed that the Twi'lek female in Jedi Academy has horns and no ears. So they are a part of the facial structure in some individuals, rather than purely decoration. And since there definitely are Twi'leks with ears and no cones, there must be at least two subspecies. The trait is also independant of racial color, since the JA Twi'lek can be nearly any color.

There seems to be a great deal of variety in the Twi'lek species, which is a good reason for allowing them to cross-breed with a good number of other species.
Perhaps the one with horns had a gotal as a father?
There are ones with 1, 3 or 4 lekku.
Perhaps the one with 3 lekku had a Togruta as a mother.
This could also explain alot of the colouration issues.
    Never mind the ears/cones dilema.
I think that they can have either, but as a cultural thing ones with ears usually cover them, like some females cover there faces when in public.
