In a recent thread, Sifo-Dyas's origins are pretty much explained, so I wanted to make up a story with D.M. being Sifo-Dyas and so on:

Palpatine had been discovered by Darth Plagueis at the Jedi temple before he had become a padawan. He is taught everything by Plagueis and develops a master plan for the destruction of the galaxy. First, he needs to become a senator and destroy the only threat-his master. Darth Sidious kills his master in his sleep.
He goes to the temple and finds two padawans named Sifo-Dyas and Dooku. He sees there futures and decides to take Sifo-Dyas as his apprentice. Sifo stays in the order, but is secretly training as a Sith. While the young apprentice is training at the Temple, Palpatine goes to Tatooine and uses his mediclorian powers to impregnate a slave, sell her to a Hutt and wait for the ultimate sith to grow up w/o being noticed by the Jedi.
Soon, Maul has grown up, as has Dooku and they both become masters. Sifo-Dyas actually joins the Jedi Council around the same time that Palpatine becomes the respected Senator of Naboo. Sidious has his apprentice order the clone army and then go to naboo because his next apprentice has been spotted by two jedi. Maul goes to fight them, but dies trying.
Palps uses his back-up apprentice and tells him about his plans to take over the galaxy and Tyrannus is born. Without noing, Sidious re-builds Maul and turns him into a droid named Grievous. Dooku realizes his old friend is the droid, so Dooku makes Grievous his apprentice to the Separatist order. The rest you pretty much know....

    What do you think?

I love hearing Sith conspiracy theories. Has anyone who wonders if Grievous was Maul found an answer for The General's lack of force powers, though? I mean, he still has the brain, enough for at least a flutter of force energy:

    (On Utapau.)

Obi-Wan: And now Grievous--ow! Leg cramp!

    (He is instantly impaled.)

I came up with a great Sith Conspiracy theory: What if Sifo Dyas was Darth Plagueis' undercover name? This would explain how the Sith managed to order the clones and Dooku's murder of Sifo Dyas would have been a shadow of Anakin's murder of Dooku--that is, a big step down the road to Sithdom.

By killing Plagueis, Palpatine's understudy, Darth Maul gets to step up as a Sith Lord, albeit for an all-too-short-tenure.

Grievous is a lot more droid than sith. His only Maul parts would be his organs. You can't really use the force then. The real question would be if e remembered being MAul and/or Sifo-Dyas. He can obviously still use a lightsaber!

OOHH, here's a good add on to the story:

After being created again by Sids, Maul/GG realizes Sids has compassion and no longer wants to become a sith. He runs and kills jedi for another 10 years or so, until he finds a Sith to kill- Dooku. Sifo-Dyas remembers his old friend and aggrees to become Dooku's apprentice if Sids dies. Thus the Vice-president of the Separatists is born!

I could swallow the amnesia thing; it's quite possible that his mind was altered during surgery. However, I feel I must point out that Vader isn't a great deal more than Grievous. Grievous only lacks the arm and leg stumps, torso skin and bones, and jaw. He has his organs mostly intact, and is connected to them, as the coughing proves. The organs, arguably the most vital parts of a life if we're going by 'Force is proportionate to remaining body parts' would still be enough for at least one decent shove of force energy. And I would think that Dooku, not knowing that Sidious wanted to use Grievous, not make him a force-using threat, would have trained Maul again in the force, to make up for the few weaknesses of his technology. That's my take on things. Let the discussion commence.

Maybe Sids wiped out Grievous's memory on purpose so he wouldn't come back and try to kill his replacement Dooku?

No, I mean, like this: in the novelization, anyway, Dooku saw the glorious dream of an Empire. However, he was evidently oblivious or disrespectful of the rule of 2, as he foresaw that the Jedi would be turned or killed. So for him, the more dark-side force-users, the better. So why wouldn't Dooku, who trained Grievous in saber fighting, teach Grievous as much force powers as possible?
I mean, the Emperor had his cyborg sword-fighter with force powers, and he wasn't worried about Vader coming to kill him and replace him. Why wouldn't Dooku train Grievous in the force?

Maybe...um...Dooku was afraid of getting overthrown, so he didn't teach his apprentice anything of the force. At least he wouldn't until GG was a sith again.

Palpatine wasn't afraid of Darth Vader's powers ecause he new the young sith's loyalty. He tried to kill his father figure for Sidious. Plus, Sids didn't have any other spare sith, so he needed to keep this last force weilder.

But operating on the assumption that Sifo-Dyas and Dooku were once best friends, perhaps Dooku could have manipulated Grievous into becoming his best buddy. He could have done the whole fatherly thing when they first met like Palpatine did with Anakin, then soon after, he could reveal Grievous' true identity.
They would be a mirror-image of Vader and Sidious then. When Sidious revealed his true identity to Anakin, his soon-to-be apprentice wavered at first...but he returned, believing that he and Sidious had the same interests at heart. Same with Dooku & Grievous: both dislike Jedi, and by helping bring the Sith to power, Grievous would have annihilated his hated enemies once and for all. Vengeance would be his.

I don't know if I'd have the time. I'm bogged down all of June with Driver's Ed. and a brutal Phys. Ed course during Summer school. But if I could help, I'd be glad to.

allright, I'll start writing the Star Wars series with our little "touch ups" We might want to add that Mace was the original apprentice to Palpatine, because there are many threads that think he is a dark lord, and it would be cool. We'd need some "touch ups" to the OT too though.

Is there a place where you can post fan fic. on this website?

    EDIT:
    Found it in the forums.

    EDIT:
    It got shut down

Tyrannus hired the bounty hunter (in a tournament probably) but Sifo actually ordered the clone army.

You're not supposed to post stories here. There's a whole FanFic forum for that.

Oh yeah. And this theory is complete crap.

I don't think it's supposed to be a theory. This guy just wanted to post a What if? thingy (like Marvel). And I aggree that this should be in the fan fic. section. You should move this forum R2-D2 host dude.

This theory doesn't work at all.

Some Labryinth of Evil Spoilers(if you don't want to know anything before you read)

Grievous is a Kaleesh from the planet Kalee. He was fought as a general against another planet(don't remember the name of the planet). The Jedi came to stop the war, and they joined the side that Grievous wasn't on, and slaughtered his people. That's why he's so mad at the Jedi. Then, afterwards, an accident was set up by the International Banking Clan and Grievous was molded into what he is in ROTS.

That is why it cannot work.
