What if Vader had killed Leia?

Suppose Vader had killed Leia on board the Death Star. Would Luke or Ben had sensed this?

 

ben probably would have, but not luke.

 

and either way, we'd have ourselves a classic Greek Tragedy.

 

...And a very sad Vader by the end of ROTJ.

 

Not to mention no love interest for Solo. Than again GL could've always broadened Solo and Chewie's relationship.

 

If Luke knew that Leia was his sister then he might have struck Vader down in ROTJ and possibly have gone to the dark side.

 

It would have been a really short trilogy but I guess if Ben told him that Leia was his sister he would have yet another reason to hate Vader and to avenge his dead sister.

This is what would have happened. First remember Obiwan told Luke that he was going alone to deactive the tracker beam.

Suddenly Artoo begins to WHISTLE and BEEP a blue streak. Luke goes over to him.
LUKE
What is it?
THREEPIO
I'm afriad I'm not quite sure, sir.
He says 'she's dead' and keeps
repeating 'She's dead.'
LUKE
Well, who...who is dead?
THREEPIO
Princess Leia.
HAN
Princess?
LUKE
I can't believe she's gone.
HAN
Dead Princess what's going on?

They left the room once they learned that she was in detention block. If she was already dead would they have left the room?

INT. DEATH STAR - MAIN GANTRY - COMMAND OFFICE - LATER
Suddenly there is a great explosion, and the door of the control tower opens. Armoed stormtroopers enter the chamber.

HAN
Get behind me! Get behind me!

Han draws his blaster and kills a Stormtrooper who bumped his head on the door in his way in.

The Stormtroopers came in on the droids before Obiwan deactived the tractor beam. If Leia was dead our Heroes would still be in the room when the Stormtroopers arrived.

INT. DEATH STAR - DOCKING BAY
Ben enters the hangar to find Darth Vader, dozens of Stormtroopers looking at the dead bodies of Chewbacca, Luke, Han and the two droid.

BEN
For crying outloud!
STORMTROOPER
It's another one! Blast him!

um, how do you think Han knew all about "letting the Wookiee win"???

 

It would be all different and Luke would never know about his sister until he duels with Vader. I think Han would not be in Carbinate freeze.

 

You've all missed the obvious here:

If Vader had killed Leia, she would be dead.

 

Wow. It's difficult to ponder this. I would think that the saga would have gone on but by the end of it, Luke would have died on Bespin after his duel with Vader.

 

If Vader had killed leia, I might never have hit

I agree with the post above...if Vader had killed Leia during her interrogation, Luke would not have found out about it until R2 serached the computer...they would not have left to look for her, and they would end up fighting Stormtroopers who came into the room. They might not survive as long.

 

if he had then there would be no reson for luke to get angery at 'perphaps...sister...'
