What is the name of Star Wars fans?

Do Star Wars fans even have a nickname at all? Lord of the Rings has Ringers and Star Trek fans are Trekkers or Trekkies but what are star wars fans called?Warsies?Nerds lol, thats what my wife says about us.

Oh God...warsies? I so refuse to be called a "Warsie".

It has a stupid ring to it. A very stupid ring.

If someone asks me, I'm simply a Star Wars Fan. No nickname needed.

 

I'm a Jedi, or a Rogue. Both.

And i swear if some "Ringer" declares himself to me as such, i'm going to rip off his fake elf ears and stuff them somewhere else! That's not a serious nickname is it?

Well, in German I often read "Warslinge" for all sw fans.

 

That's even worse than Warsie! A Warsling!

 

In SW there are different fandoms though. People who like the technical stuff are called Fleet Junkies.

Nerds or geeks, but I usually just tell people I'm a Star Wars fan, no name needed.

 

We're too cool and not nerdy enough to have a nickname. Thats why we dont have one. Lol

Seriously... after twenty years were just NOW getting an actual spoken language. Ringers and Trekkies got theres much sooner.

Soon... soon we'll have fallen the same path as them! We'll translate the bible into Mando'a just like the Ringers translated it into Elven and the Trekkies into Klingon!

And when that happens, we'll have a nickname cause then we wont be as cool and we will be very nerdy!

Oh, and LOTR fans are Ringnuts, not Ringers. Same as HP fans are Potterheads.

 

yo I like starwars star trek lord of the rings heack i even play dnd and magic the gathering but i do have other sides like 1 im christian 2 i am a good baller football basketball treck always team captain also am a gospel rapper already made 1 track though it didnt go gold or platinum it did do quite well im also a lil popular in school and i know there are other starwars fans like me so i dont know if u can actually say we r nerds we r more partial nerds its not my fault i like starwars and know more than anyone in school about it its just the way i am so i dont think i should be specified as a nerd idk im kinda ramblin but i jus figured id state that we r not really that big of nerds if we like starwars because most of us are not social outcast
so ill bust a hater in the mouth lol

 

My my...such an impressive list, Jerdu. May I suggest that in addition to your other...achievements...you avail yourself of some punctuation? Truly, it would make your posts more readily comprehensible. Additional vocabulary and grammar might not go astray, either.

You know, my parents and I were having a discussion about this the other day, and we couldn't come up with anything.

I guess we could always pick a word from in-universe, like "Jedi". If anyone says that, they immediately make the Star Wars connection. How about that?

 

yea well never really pay much attenton in grammar and i guess i will start using punctuation when i post.

 

yeh, cause no punctuation makes it hard to follow, and then people tend not to read your posts. But you made a good point: SW fans are often many things at once.

I prefer to say: I am a SW geek.
