Dont worry r_w, the rest of us still like you...though, you would make an attractive rug...no, no, we like you. But the rug is so tempting. Ignore me by the way, I'll continue on like this for a while now. Cursed indecision.

    Nothing is wrong with comics.
Hell I dated a comic book publisher. And I'm going to Wizard World. I also have a stack of old comics in my house. However, comics and books are two different types of media. I like books because they you can get more indepth. Thats not to say I hate comics and think they should end tomorrow. But I just really want to sit down with a 300 page novel about Aayla and an adventure she went on. :)

It's here shirt, if Tenel Ka or Danni Qui went around wearing her clothes they'd be just as popular.

You mean Aayla has a shirt? I thought that was just some rag that was drawn on so we could keep the comics and mvies at least PG-13.

    It's not THAT revealing.

And is this fanart or what she actually looked like in the comic?

She is a great jedi and a great woman (not in a horny sense (but that too)). I wish she had lived

I can't help but wonder what an Aayla novel cover would have to look like to compensate fans for her lack of "physical representation" by the written words. o_O

That's the cover of one of the Republic issues during the "Siege of Saleucami" story-arc.

As far as why I have been a Aayla fan:

    1. She had one of the coolest backstories.

    2. She is a formidable Jedi.

    3. She's cute. Can't deny that...

    4. 'Nuff said.

And for those of you who think Aayla's outfit is too revealing, check out some of the girls jogging in a college town. You'll see revealing...

Another reason I like her is cause she is a female Jedi. I just felt as if there werent many of them, and I agree her back story is appealing. She seems like a very well fleshed out character, unlike some of them who just have a little background on them. I think this is cause she was often in the comic.

She was sexy without being sexual. And she could kick some butt. :)

Absolutely. I'm looking forward to her rematch with Bok in the next issue of Republic.

To clarify, she is wearing such a revealing outfit on that cover because she is on an undercover mission at the time. That's not her everyday Jedi wear.

    No doubt.

As for my somewhat negative feelings regarding the subject of the discussion:

    1: She's a Twi'lek. Twi'leks are weird

    2: She's blue

    3: Her clothing is asymmetrical

4: At Geonosis, she seems to follow the filmic convention that attractive female characters cannot be slain.

Oh well, at least her death was moving.

If by moving you mean moving me to applaud, then yes, it was.

I have a question: why does Secura wear the skimpy outfit and not wizard robes?

Shes a Twi'Lek. Have we ever met Twi'lek females who didnt wear slutty outfits? It reminds me of the girlz at my school...just not as ugly.

I thought I read that the outfit she wears is the typical Twi'lek Jedi outfit?? Maybe I am wrong.

    Aayla's hot.

Aayla is a great character, developed very well in the comics.

Aala is the first E.U. character to have made it to the movies.

What more do you need?

Did a Twi'lek dump you at some point Fist_of_Mandalore? You seem to have some female issues.

    Wookie issues, too ;)

Grey1, She does have one piece of artwork on the first page of "Elusion, Illusion" but other than that, Stackpole short story does a decent job with her without the need for illustrations.
