    "ELCA? Explain..."

I am a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, as opposed to Missouri Synod or some other flavor of Lutheranism.

    1. Secular Humanism (100%)

    Yep. That's me!

I am studying up on the Jewish religion, though, but not because I am discovering God or anything. It's just an important part of my bf's life and i feel ignorant about it. :D It's pretty fascinating.

Reform Jew, non-practising. More than that, I identify with my religion.

I am very comfortable with the ideas behind reform Judaism, and its lessened emphasism on strict rules. Being Reform tends more towards trying to be a good person, rather than being as religious as possible.

Of course, some use Reform as a copout so they can call themselves Jewish, while just ignoring the religion. I dont much care for that.

    I am an atheist.

I do not believe in any higher power than the vast, majestic, and elegant physical universe that surrounds us.

I don't believe in gods, nor any form of afterlife.

I'm a Christian - particularly of the Seventh-Day Adventist denomination. Although the particular church I go to is full of mean people and so as soon as I move away from this area I'm transfering my membership. Don't get me wrong - not all SDA churches are like that, just this one....

I'm a pretty good Christian, but I'm a lousy Seventh-Day Adventist. LoL SDA has some strict "guidelines" to follow that I don't believe in.

    Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

You know, you might be a Lutheran if when you watch Star Wars and one of the characters says, "May the Force be with you." You reply, "And also with you."

You could replace the word "Lutheran" with "Catholic" :p

Born again Christian. I attend a Lutheran church which tends to be a bit more like some of the Pentacostal and First Assmemblies of God churches.

Yes, there are many situations in which you can replace the word Lutheran with Catholic.

    heh
I think I'm the polar opposite of an atheist. Where they believe in nothing (spiritually), I try to find room for everything!
I got lot's of atheist friends though.
The secret? I discuss nothing controversial with anybody!
How do I have deep conversations? Talk to people about things we do agree on.
I don't think of it so much as me telling people what they want to hear so much as I like to concentrate on what I have in common with people.
Like if someone hates the PT, don't talk Star Wars (cause usually references to the PT surface).
If someone's atheist, don't talk about anything spiritual with them. However, as that's where I'm deepest, I'll have a harder time connecting with them on a deeper level.

EDIT - Actually, that'd make for an interesting thread I think. Where are you shallowest, and where are you deepest?
Why don't I start it? Cause my threads are usually doomed to fail :p

but I believe in the Pagan ways more than anything else, even if it is not really a religion

    How do you mean?

Wicca isn't really a religion, though some people argue that. That is a very long discussion, but to cut things short, I don't see it as a religion.
