As of right now, Star Wars continuity regards the character that died in ROTS as Stass Allie. Adi Gallia was in The Phantom Menace, but when Attack of the Clones was filmed, the same actress was not available to play the character. Because of this they have a different actress wearing the EXACT same outfit, but decided to turn it into a new character (I think she's supposed to be a cousin of Adi's or something).

To complicate things further, a 3rd actress was used in ROTS to play Stass Allie, and if you ask me, this actress ironically looks more like the actress from TPM than the one from AOTC.

The whole thing is stupid IMO. It's not uncommon for actors - even for main characters - to change in movies. For instance, the actor that played Dumbledore in Harry Potter died and they replaced him in the following movies with a different actor. But that character was STILL Dumbledore. Similarly, Rhodey from Iron Man was played by a different actor than the same character in Iron Man 2, and the actors looked NOTHING alike. Stass Allie should just be retconned back into Adi Gallia.

The same thing happened with Eeth Koth. The "Eeth Koth" in AOTC and ROTS is actually Agen Kolar (again, a new character was created due to a different actor).

Except that the difference between Eeth Koth and Agen Kolar is so very obvious. Their sihlouette, profile and wardrobe is the same....but they are still very distinguishable.
Eeth Koth is a white Zabrak with lines all over his face.
Agen Kolar is a black Zabrak with dots all over his face.

Just thought I'd update anyone who was in the dark.....

Just thinking about this now, it really makes you wonder WTF was going on when it came to masked aliens:
-If they needed Eeth Koth, Adi Gallia, and Kit Fisto's original actors then why not get someone who looked like them?
-Why make Agen and Kit look so different from their last appearance? Saesee didn't look too different from his appearnace in TPM and AOTC.
-Why were so many Jedi actors unnavailible?

^It is also remarkable that Stass Allie has two different actors in ROTS- that's just so amazing they didn't get same actor for two scenes she appears- in council and in her death-scene  Dying Allie also looks more like Adi than AOTC-Stass.....

Shaak Ti also has odd double in council scenes instead of Orli Shoshan who appeared in both death scenes that were both edited- thank God she is not retconned to be another togruta-jedi..... I have no idea but GL and background jedi are one big mess in PT....

Even Pablo-Jill received this mysterious twin brother- Coleman Kcaj who is- like Coleman Trebor named after Rob Coleman.... I think Coleman Kcaj with his unimaginative name could be safely erased from continuity and retconned to be Pablo-Jill but Stass Allie and Agen Kolar are there to stay....

The name may suck but Kcaj is just as untouchable as Stass Allie.

The differences between Gallia and Allie are easy to retcon. The difference between Koth and Kolar are too great for retcon.

But with Kcaj, it is noticable that he looks slightly different from Jill. I bring this up because there has to be a REASON why Kcaj isn't Jill.
With Masked and real-life Jedi in the PT, they had problems.
But Jilla dn Kcaj are pure CGI. So why make Kcaj a separate model if he could easily be Jill no problem. I think it was intended by Lucas that Kcaj be a character of his own.

Which only makes me want to promote an appearance by Kcaj even more in the show.....

I would like to see his name retconned though - Colemans are just too usual in the order... but ongree-jedi look similar to humans anyway so.... forget i said anything:p Adi and Stass are cousins so their similar appearance is acceptable- force runs strong in their family....

and yeah Eeth and Agen are clearly different as well.....

    That was Stass Allie.

Just kill Adi and render Obsession non-canon so we get an ACTUAL final fate for Asajj.

Or to salvage Obsession they could have the Jedi track the shuttle Ventress stole and give the ACTUAL final fate you want. Whilst we're on final fates: Depa Billaba anyone? Also Oppo Rancisis should make a cameo considering he's an important Councillor. Just sayin'

Edit: BUT, Obsession won't be made not Canon as the battle of Boz Pity is mentioned in ROTS!

They could do their version of Boz Pity...or just ignore it completely.

IDK why, I just realized how stupid Boz Pity sounds. [face_laugh]

    What's so stupid about it?

The creator obviously had pity for Brian Bosworth.

I'd just like to see them do their own version for TCW. We've seen Adi Gallia one or two times, so it'd be a recurring character killed off.

They didn't dueled. Gallia just says to Grievous that "deflector shields" quote, then swings at Grievous. He parries and kills her with his extra arms. I would hardly call that epic.

Even Nahdar Vebb had a better death scene.

You never get a good look at Agen kolar in the movies to appreciate any differences in tatoos. You only see them in behind-the-scenes photos for things like the Episode III dictionary. It was the same with Stass Allie. You never really see anything aside from the back of her head during the movie. Yeah, the actress in TPM looks nothing like the actress in AOTC, but you never really see the actress in AOTC, aside from in behind-the-scenes photos. We see Agen Kolar's face for a handful of seconds between both AOTC and ROTS. There are characters in other movies that are recast that are main characters.

As for the change in actor... that doesn't matter. Like I said, it happens all the time in movies. What would have happened had Natalie Portman died in a car crash after TPM? Would episodes II and III have not been made? Would he have replaced the actress and named Padme something else? Probably not.

He probably would have simply recast the role, and you would have Padme played by a different actress. Same character, different actress. It happened between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight too with the character of Rachel Dawes being played by Katie Holmes in Batman Begins and Maggie Gyllenhaal in The Dark Knight.
They look nothing alike, yet they play the same character. For some reason the concept of two different actors playing the same character in Star Wars is impossible for fans to buy.

I'd be surprised if Lucas was even aware that "Eeth Koth" was now "Agen Kolar" during the filming of ROTS.

It was him who decided to give a different name because they looked so different.

Not saying you're wrong, but I've yet to see a reliable source that directly says this. Everything I've heard has been "I heard Lucas did this" etc.

I believed what people said at face value about Lucas also requesting that Quinlan Vos not be killed off in a particular book/comic, and that turned out to be a rumor spread by fans that was completely misunderstood.

    Eeth Koth vs. Darth Maul.

Someone had to say it. Not necessarily believe it, but say it.

^Eeth Koth could be cut in half and he could fall in the pit so he would "die" but could return later if he is needed- that is how zabraks work.....

I think he deserves a warriors death and it should be in a duel with Grevious/Ventress/Tyranus. Same goes for any other jedi. Give them an episode where we re live a battle (Bos Pity) and have it match what really takes place. Would you oppose that this happens or even have all the background jedi all in one episode giving them screen time all together?

Koth vs. Maul or Savage would be awesome

Zabrak vs. Zabrak would be pretty cool and I'd love Koth to go out with a bang.

Hopefully Adi's death can reinvigorate Grievous' badassity, instead of his jarjar equivalent comic relief which he has become.
