Whats this about nudity in RS?!?!?!?! SPOILERS

I heard it at www.starwars.com, and some guy says he comes out all naked in a red gooy thingy?

Um, nudity hasn't been too rare in the NJO. Wurth Skidder was tortured while naked...Kyp Durron held Wurth while he was dying, nude, if I recall correctly.

And Luke's nudity was more for comedic effect than anything else. And nothing was seen, only his torso.

 

Yeah, i dont really care, they dont get all graphic anyway.

 

Doesn't anyone remember The New Rebellion? Luke was nude in that one too.

That bubble creature in NR was idiotic, though.

I have a feeling, Irish_Kidy, that there are more nude scenes than that. None are graphic, though

 

luke has acually gotten a sense of humor in this book. it was actually really funny picturing it . . .

Here's the basic summary, but the dialog is directly from the book.

Tahiri found the room with the red devourer and led everyone else to that room. The red devourer was a pool of red liquid. The "liquid" was actually ahuge colony of micro-organism. The red devourer served as an organic waste disposal/recycler of sorts. The red devourer consume organic waste products and carbon dioxide, and release oxygen.

All the computers in the room were there for show - they had nothing to do with the red devourer. Luke sensed that a concentration of dark side energy was underneath the red devourer tank, and that there was a depression at the center of the tank. Since the red devourer was alive, he experimented, and succeeded in making the organisms think that he wasn't food. He got in the tank, swam towards the depression, and turned a wheel located there.

The wheel caused a turbolift shaft to rise up from the floor. He made his way to the side of the tank and asked what happened. At that point, Face grinned. The lights were dim, but he saw Tahiri look at him, flush red, and then turned away, looking back at the turbolift. Danni did the same thing.

Mara, suppressing a laugh that came out as a cough asked, "Luke, before you step out and join us, out of respect for those of us you're not married to, you might want to be sure that you're presentable."

He looked down and saw his torso covered with the goo. He reached into the goo, and realized that his garments were gone. He stood close to the edge of the tank.

"I guess I forgot to tell the stuff, 'My clothes aren't food, either.'"

"I guess you did"

"Could you pass me my pack?"

I laughed at the absurdity of the situation and the embarrasment everyone was feeling at that moment. I also said the following in the Rebel Stand discussion thread: with everything Tahiri's been through - the torture, the ordeals of war, falling in love with Anakin, losing him, facing and defeating a Dark Jedi, and this, in my mind, Tahiri isno longer a little girl or a teenager at that moment. She's a woman.

Remeber Kell saying, "Aunt Tahiri, tell me a story." Well, she's got a few stories to tell now.

 

LMAO! OMG! That was hiliarious! The reactions were the best.

 

that scene was one of the funniest in the book

Aye, one of a lot of funny moments that made the book somewhat uplifting, even with the scary/sad/dramatic parts.

 

I like Tahiri's parts.
