Is it the pounds sign??? Is it on the British computer on the "4" key instead of the American dollar?? Yeah, I'm kinda a retard. :p

Dang computer. Can't get anything right.

Yes, infact that symbol is the pounds symbol and it is above the 4 on a British keyboard. Some of the other symbols that appear above the numbers on an american keyboard are switched around as well.

EDIT: okay, I knew that it was somewhere over the numbers...but I wasn't entirely sure, assumed it was over the number 4 [face_blush]

Two of your statements are correct.

The incorrect one is that most British keyboards have the dollar sign over the 4, the pound sign is by the enter key or over the 3.

    Over the 3
    by enter

hold down alt, and hit 156 at the same time. It's ASCII code.

Push the numbers 156 while holding down the alt button. ;)

    Like so:

☼ (okay, I got something completely different, but that's cool too)

Edit: ^ and what is that?

If the pound symbol is above the 3, where's your # key?

Also does anyone know what ~ means? Is it supposed to be "approximately equal to" ?

    # is above the return key.

And ~ is the thing that goes above some of the 'n's in Spanish.

Ok, you can make that sign. By pressing "Alt" and 3 numerous keys on the number pad. With that, I make this:

    }q/6¬_ßy_¦}Ü+sh{N+ó+ù6Pmé+_AN_(E*N8Ö

Jibberish? Ya, but sadly I understand it.
