Empire. The man just oozes evil in this film. Look up evil in the dictionary, and you'll find a picture of Vader force-throwing stuff at Luke.

    Empire Strikes back.

As cold as A New Hope, but with the added evilness of trying to corrupt his son.

The Empire Strikes Back, I almost voted for RotS because of his slaughtering of kids. But to be honest he has killed hundreds if not thousands more since that time (probably even millions when considering how many died by his orders), and even helped to destroy and enslave entire worlds by the time of ESB.

By the time of ESB seems to be his peak of evil deeds.

Revenge of the Sith. I consider serial killing to be more evil.

His deeds of ROTS are more evil; his heart is more evil in ESB. I voted ESB.

Definitely ESB. No other film captured Vader's true evilness like that movie.

I almost went with TESB, but he is more manipulative and subtle, and though that can be downright evil depending on its use I think his murderous rampage through the ending of ROTS takes the win on this.

RotS, without a doubt. Killing without emotion, without reason, without being attacked. The younglings, the Separatists, and Obi-Wan if he could. He would've killed Padme.

QFT. He found out about his son Pre-ESB, and I think that softened him up just a tad on the inside, may not show, but I think Anakin is starting to come back through then.

How can the answer NOT be ROTS?

Evil isn't just about murderous rampages. Not that they aren't evil in themselves, it's just that a single act in itself doesn't make me feel Vader was more evil in ROTS than the evil he exuded and I felt from him in ESB.

In the OT, there's at least some glimmer of good in him. It wasn't very evident in RotS. When Anakin has slaughtered Younglings, attempts to kill his wife had it not been interrupted, and then eagerly desiers to slay Obi-Wan, you are looking at evil being born and at its pinnacle.

Murderous and uncontrolled evil was born, yes. At it's pure pinnacle? No. The calculated evil which had built up over time, I believe, was more focused. More evil, should I say it like that.

    QFT. [face_laugh]

But seriously, everyone thought Vader was the epitome of evil when ESB came out. With ROTS, even though he does some pretty henious things, there's still some sense of doubt (at least I felt like it), he isn't in the suit yet, and it's hard to come to grips with the idea that Anakin Skywalker has turned completely. I'm not entirely sure Anakin's all there at the end of ROTS. He's mentally snapped. Whereas OT Vader was calm, collected and knew exactly what he was doing.
