Dang, no one's seen it. It's classic. Allaistar MacLaine was at the top of his game when he wrote this script. It's not as good as his most famous work, The Guns of Navarone, but it's still a great whodunnit set against the backdrop of espionage, just as most of MacLaine's books were.

no, haven't read the book. guess i should.

 

I read a few of his books: Ice Station Zebra, and one other where a British Secret Agent trys to uncover a big scheme concerning a rich guy and his wife. I forget the name.

 

Remember when Alvin (from Alvin and the Chipmunks) and Brittney sang "Love Lift Us Up to Where We Belong" and that momma eagle was getting worms for her young? Oh, you said where eagles dare . . .

 

I've seen it but it was so long ago I can't remember much of it. I can remember one part when they're all parachuting out the plane and one of them dies.

 

yup, that's the begining. it gets even better when they get into the castle.

 

He didn't just die, he was . . . MURDERED!

 

I read the book, it was excellent.
