LA, CA Where is Naboo castle really filmed

after much research, watching the AOTC DVD, and reading, I have concluded there are various locations where the Naboo castle was.

This website, (very informative) says it was a few locations, mainly in Caserta, Italy. But, I was also told it was in part of Seville, Spain.

What are your thoughts as to the final locations? I think it was a bunch of various shots. Ironically, I have been to Seville and took a ride outside the palace two years ago.

Carolyn, (my wife) mentioned it looked like the Castle, I told her she was nuts. Two years later, I regret my comment, and that I did not take more photos. (I also had to appolgize)

I think that the scenes of the Naboo's capital is in Seville... GL says that in a interview, before the Episode II premiere.

Yes, I know the Lake Retreat. I think it is called Lake Cuomo? The queen's palace was what I referred to.

If you check the link on the first message, a lot of the photos look like her castle inside. According to the sight, those were in Caserta, Italy.

I think Seville was just the outside of the castle, when Anakin and she are walking from the shuttle.

You're right about it being a bunch of different places. the inside of the palace was filmed in Caserta, Italy, and the outside that we see in AOTC was in the Plaza d'Espana in Seville, Spain.

 

Yeah, that's definetly Seville. One of my brother's highlights in first watching ATOC was seeing the palace becuase he spent two years studying abroad in Spain, so he knows Seville quite well. I daresay he had his own little squee-fest when he first saw it, lol.

Naboo's domed castle is part of the goverment buildings of Turkey, and the parts of the interior and facade are from the palace of Versailles in Paris, the landing plaza where Anakin and Padme were walking is parts of some Italian and Spanish Villas. Most of these were made known in the behind the scenes for EP1...

I wish wish wish so much that I spent more time at Castle De Espana. Except it was raining and cold, and I was thinking more about Flamenco dancing, instead of Naboo at the time. Well, I do have a few photos, and the knoweldge I was there.

Truly a beautiful, wonderful City. I liked Seville much more than Madrid, or Toledo.
