She knew Luke was right, but the whole idea of Luke going on without her was making Mara remember the last time he had gone into battle without her - and she had almost lost him. Luke sensed her thoughts through their bond and tried to reassure her.

“That’s not gonna happen, this time.” He said with all the earnestness in his heart.

“Promise?” Tears were coming down her face now - undoubtedly the effects of her wacky hormones.

He caressed her face gently and kissed her wet cheeks and then her lips, imprinting on them all the love in his heart.

“I promise, my love!”


They should have had more EU writers like you. Just the sweet stuff. NOT always war and aliens invading from outer space...

Jacen's plans and his ominous dreams SQUEE on the Jag and Han scene and on H/L at the end. Han really is a great dad!!

 

Han was very grown up with Jag. Most guys threaten them with something or another. In my younger sister's case it was our eldest brother joking about bringing his shotgun when she brought her almost fiancee home to meet the family. Needless to say the threat of sleeping in the snowbank for several days and being barred from the house he was staying at deterred him. Part of me doesn't blame him since our eldest sister's first husband became quite the jerk.

Jacen has a point but he should have taken his fears right to the top. Maybe it was discussed since they have been focused on just three beings and not long time goals.

 

This is the involved daddy that I wanted to see! Thanks for writing him this way!

 

I really enjoyed the scene between Han and Jag; and found it very interesting that Leia was in the wings - nice touch!

Great discussion and points between Jacen and Luke. The rescue went very smoothly with re-assimilation of the various species. But the last scene, very ominous indeed.

 

I guess I can see the discussion that Luke and Jacen had from both sides of the fence. Yeah, that last scene was a bit creepy.

 

Luke was right to tell Jacen off since it was dangerous on so many levele.

But at least Luke told Jacen that he had had a valid point that should have been brought to the Council's attentions.

Enjoyed the various conversations. Mara is so wise. She keeps Luke's worry down too. And Ben with Mommy - aww!

 

I'm with Nyota, Ben telling Luke about how he took care of his mommy and read to his sisters was so sweet!

And as I can see the plot is getting as dense as a mist bank with each update! The dark side is creeping in!

Hmm. I was gonna review for #23, with gladness over the J/TK decision. But now I get a two-fer! Loved the decisions and the revelations. And Leia and Jaina with Thrackan - awesomely edge of seat. Glad Jag and Jaina had some couple time too.

 

Jacen should feel better and now problems in the future will never happen.

I could never figure out how Thrackan managed to avoid execution or death in prison.

 

Well I of course loved all of the family time. I loved how Ben read stories to his unborn sisters -- too cute. And I'm glad the Solos and Skywalkers now know about Tenel Ka's baby on the way. Thank goodness Leia and Jaina were able to protect Han from Thrackan.
