Who is the fastest lightsaber fighter in RotS?

I think we need to clarify this debate. The question should be who is the fastest Force adept with a lightsaber?

 

Nah, its a no contest situtation. GG is faster than any jedi.

The way the fight went was kinda all wrong on screen at least - it was made to look like Anakin just beat dookus butt without breaking a sweat and he doesn't do anything perticularly dark untill after winning and palpatine chips in. This would have been alot better had it been like the novel and full script where palpatine encourages anakin throughout the fight and you really see how enraged Anakin is getting showing crystal clear he is using the darkside then he beats dooku down savagly it would have worked better. And not made dooku look as weak to Anakin.

Anyway the fastest saber user is sidious followed closely by Yoda.

 

Grievous' spinning was mechanicaly fast, but it was one dimensional. Move for move, Anakni and Obi-Wan were equals. This was clearly demonstrated in their duel when they had to resort to other means of fighting.

 

Anakin seemed to fight fast, furious and with flair. I've got to say I was really impressed with HC - with a sabre in hand he looked flawless.

I said it before... I'll say it again... Yoda in terms of skill and speed, Vader (yes flesh and blood VADER... I think he's WAAAY quicker than Anakin, when augmented by the DSotF) and Obi-Wan--see the spinning, non-clashing sabers in the Mustafar conference room--second in terms of skill and speed, and Grievous in terms of pure speed in-and-of itself.

 

Sidous he killed 3 jedi in 3 seconds

Because after his duel with Obi-Wan he lost a great deal of his power.

but he lost his power and was weakened after rots,this forum is to discuss rots and in ROTS it was painfully obvious that sidious was stronger than anakin.and if we are specific this thread is to discuss the fastest fighter and i cant picture anakin makin that spinning sidious made when he killed 1 jedi per second.

 

Yoda vs Sidious is a very overated fight

Probably slower pace than the Mace fight

Sidious wasnt even using his full speed on Yoda........He was on the defense the whole time

If he wouldve rushed Yoda like he did Mace their wouldnt of been no OT yoda lol

Obi and Anakin are the fastest in my book by far.....This is by far the most physical fight that ive ever seen not only in the SW series but period...Jumping from a ledge across a long lava stretch would take exceptional skill and confidence.....Compared to the Yoda/Sidious duel this was a life death situation to the fullest........By lightsaber or lava.....Judging by how clumsy Yoda/Sidious were it is very possible to guess that one of them wouldnt died just by their lack of balance.....I can picture Anakin/Obi fightin in the Senate room but cant picture Sidious/Yoda on Mustafar

Yoda is quick..........but fast is how much terrain u can cover in a certain time frame.....not how many times u can jump around in a 2 sq ft area

 

well technically I'd say Greivous was the fastest, since he is half droid.

Palpatine in my opinion was the slowest in ROTS and the PT as a whole.

his moves focused more on stabbing. His moves were precise and deadly. So the fastest 'human' was Anakin,

followed Closely by both Obi-Wan and then Dooku.

Mace was rather dull to be honest.

Yoda, didn't have much room to move fighting in a pod, but he was the fastest in the PT.

 

That would be because he got barbequed. Im going with Anakin on Mustafar.

 

Kenobi was just as fast as Anakin on Mustafar. I think the twirly duel
deal before they dual force push showed that. And Kenobi was faster
when it counted.

I've said Sidious in the past, but I think Yoda actually moves the quickest.

 

fastest jedi is anakin skywalker or obi wan kenobi that is why they fought in mustafar,anakin and obi wan is so fast,especially guards of abi wan are amazing,and watch anakin's foot movements,you will see how he move so fast.yoda is fast too because of body size.

 

Ataru masters are seen as blur.

1)Yoda
2)Obi-Wan when he fought Anakin (uses Ataru, according to answers.com)
3)Sidious(doesn't move as fast as the Jedi, but his Sith style is more lethal)

But that's just me.

There is no lava in Palpatines office, there are no lava-river-banks in Palpatines office, there are no Pods to throw around in Palpatines office, there is no unconscious Padme in Palpatines office, there is no "feeling betrayed by best friend/wife" in Palpatines office etc etc.

Anakin could destroy Palpatine, just like Mace could.

i think we will just have to agree to disagree because i think palpatine was a lot stronger and faster than anakin ,period.and dont even bring mace to this because i think sidious faked his lost to him.

Anakin could destroy Palpatine, just like Mace could.

Anakin had the potential to destroy the Emperor, but I don't think he was at the necessary level of skill yet in ROTS. The OS says the Emperor is the most powerful pracitioner of the dark side during ROTS, meaning he's stronger than Anakin. Yoda says Obi-Wan is strong enough to face Anakin, but not to face the Emperor. The Emperor tells Yoda that Vader will become more powerful than either of them, meaning he isn't as powerful as the Emperor yet.

 

I agree. which is why i didn't say he "would" destroy him; but he's capable of doing it, he just has to get his poodoo together and grow up. If he fought him in a frenzy Palpatine would eat him up for breakfast; if he fought him as a focused Jedi, it could go either way.
