Full Series Who should kill Darth Maul (for real this time)?

Assuming he actually does die that is. Whether it be in the TCW S6 eps, in Rebels or in some other spinoff movie, animated show, live action show or game.

In your opinion?

(I would actually have put in more options but it looks like 10 is all we get, so that's what you got to choose from)

If you think he shouldn't die ever onscreen (or in a canon novel, comic etc) then by all means say so.

 

Obi-Wan. You can't spend so much time building up that rivalry and have Maul torment Obi-Wan so much only for Maul to be taken out by someone else.

 

Sidious should be the one to kill both Maul and Talzin.

 

To be honest, I felt like it would be a cliche incident that was a combination of Obi-Wan and "Maul's dumb self." An example would be like in Beauty and the Beast, when the Beast is going to spare Gaston, but then Gaston gets himself killed by trying to cheap shot the Beast. There are many more examples like that in various stories where the hero intends to spare the villain, but through the villain's own pride they end up continuing the fight and getting themselves killed.

When Obi-Wan was telling Maul how he knew that Maul became a Sith against his will and he showed some pity toward Maul, I felt like that was the direction they would go. That despite all the pain that Maul has inflicted on Obi-Wan, there would come a time when Maul was at Obi-Wan's mercy and Obi-Wan would show him kindness/pity and try to spare him, only for Maul's pride and stubborness to get himself killed by trying to cheap shot Obi-Wan.

 

I have a theory that Sidious has always seen Talzin and the Nightsisters as a threat to the future Empire and he plans to interrogate Maul about Talzin.

 

I would like to see Maul implode under the pressure of his own hate.

He's not as powerful as he once was so having some one kill him now would seem abit of a let down but having him go crazy until he becomes his own worst enemy would be a better twist.

 

Anyone but Obi-Wan or Ahsoka.

 

Ahsoka wouldn't kill Sidious. She'd win him over to the light side with her heroic heart and compassion.. while Anakin watches.

 

Obi-Wan. Because he quite frankly deserves it. But I think he would defeat him but spare his life only for Maul to take one final chance to kill him and well unfortunate circumstances would mean for Maul to either die by Obi-Wan's hand or his own.

They cannot build up Maul's and Obi-Wan's rivalry to not have him involved in some way in Maul's ultimate fate.

 

Other: Uncle Owen, just like in Old Wounds.



Otherwise, I'm absolutely fine with Obi-Wan finishing him off once and for all, or even Vader, like in that Infinities comic.

As for who should kill Maul... I don't know. At this point, I'm hoping he will realize how empty his life is and do himself in.

I love the idea of Sidious sending Maul to fight Talzin and Talzin killing him.

 

Wait for it... They kill each other! Bam! That's 2 pains for Sidious taken care of, and 2 TCW loose ends closed in one stroke for Filoni and co! It's a win-win-win, since we finally get a resolution!

 

Why would Maul want to kill Talzin? Maul seems very pro-Talzin to me and Talzin "revived" him.

 

Obi-Wan and or Owen.

Remember that scene in Ghost, where the shadowy spirits drag the villain into the netherworld?
It could be made to work... somehow. Just imagine the last thing Maul sees appear in front of his eyes was the ghost of the noble renegade Jedi.
